Haven't been to this place for a long time, very happy that they are still open. Due to inflation, everything is more expensive than before, this restaurant is not alone. Food is still good and tastes yummy, highly recommend #3 Lau Lau and Kailua Pork, #4 BBQ Combo. Environment is clean, staff is friendly. Will definitely come back if I am in the area.

We ordered delivery from this location since we were craving Hawaiian bbq. It was incredibly delicious! We ordered the bbq combo platter which had very great portions for it's price. The meat in the platter consisted of short rib, chicken, and beef slices. it was nicely savory-sweet and tender and came with a generous portion of macaroni salad which is often my favorite part of the bbq platters. We also ordered a chicken katsu musubi which was also fantastic. The chicken katsu and the seaweed were both nicely crispy and went well with the sweet sauce provided. Overall was a great meal.

Ordered the Phil's special--barbecue chicken and chicken katsu. The food is solid but nothing spectacular, the chicken katsu was especially mediocre while the barbecue chicken has good flavor. The Mac salad is a bit subpar compared to other Hawaiian restaurants I have been to.

Phenomenal food. Phil's is my go to every time I'm craving Chinese food. Everything is delicious. I've had most everything on the menu. Chicken is always cooked perfectly. Portion sizes are amazing. I'm always super hungry and eat a lot but I still have some left over. Phil is also a great guy and really cares about what he puts out there. This place is a gem. I recommend any of the Chinese chicken dishes, duck fried rice, the Mongolian beef, Peking beef. Honestly you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. Go here!

Good price for quantity of food! I enjoyed the chow mein with orange chicken. Service was also very quick.

Phil's has the best Hawaiian food around. I would say it's even better than BBQ in Honolulu. Portions are large and extremely flavorful. There's no msg. It's a great deal too. Phil himself is usually around in the restaurant and loves to chat with customers. He's a very neighborly and friendly guy. Give it a try! My favorite is the BBQ mix plate.

The owner greated us and was super nice. He let us sample the Chinese food, but the specialties are the Hawaiian dishes. Get those. Great value. You won't be disappointed.

It's an OK place to hit up when craving local food from Hawaii. Nothing especially stands out. Everything our party got was just OK: - Loco Moco (burger patty a little dry and tough) - Hawaiian BBQ mix plate (BBQ items are very sweet) - Seafood & BBQ combo plate Grilled mushrooms and onions for the loco moco incurred an extra charge. No extra charge to substitute mac salad for rice.

I was not really expecting too much from a togo restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised! The lady who helped me was super friendly and gave me HUGE portions! I got half chow mein and half chicken salad, but it felt like I got full servings of each and also Kung pao chicken and veggies with beef. The food was so fresh and tasty, I loved that the veggies were still crunchy and fresh when served. The side of macaroni salad was also a big portion for only $1.50! I could only eat half and saved the rest for dinner. Will definitely be back!

I was surprised to find that they had pho on the menu since the rest of the menu was more like Hawaiian/Chinese. So I was curious and decided to try the pho. It was not bad! The bowl was very large and noodles were plentiful. I thought the soup broth flavor was decent and rather flavorful. Adding Sriracha helped give it a bit of a kick as did adding the jalapeño peppers! Service was friendly and there is some outdoor seating.

I was passing through and stumbled upon Phil's Kitchen. Met Phil and he was quite busy but still friendly. In the 5 minutes I was there he had three phone orders come through. I got bbq chicken musubis and a side of broccoli beef. Both were good! The only suggestion I would make if they wanted to level up is if they offered compostable utensils to be eco-friendly. :) Food was solid and he was working quite hard. It's been a tough year for a lot of business owners I would imagine so I'm leaving a review because the food was good and I applaud his work ethic. I would come back!

Always nice when staff is taking pride in the food they are serving! And I agree - tried chicken and corn soup, sweet and sour chicken, and duck fried rice - all SUPERB, not over cooked, full of awesome flavors. Will come back for more

Aloha! I was craving Lau Lau badly and Takahashi Market was closed today. So like smart people do, I turned to Yelp and searched for Best Lau Lau. I read the reviews and was a little skeptical but my craving for Lau Lau was strong and I knew that going to the other Hawaiian mixed plate spots don't serve up great Lau Lau. Anyway, I am so glad I came here. The Lau Lau is steamed!!! ....never heated in a microwave. The taro leaves filled with moist succulent pork and fat.... so good I'm coming back and telling all my friends about this place! The place is clean. The two men working there were super friendly and down to earth. Not sure if either of them was Phil. They are serving up Chinese food too. When I come back I gotta try the House Fried Rice because it's cooked in duck fat! Yassssss yumminess! Mahalo Phil's ! Peace out
