The pho was expensive and not that good.

Actually ate here in March of 2019 but Trip Advisor's drop down reviewer menu, on the date of my doing this review, only allows back to May 2019. For full disclosure, we have eaten pho in many cities across the USA, including Houston, TX where there is a huge Vietnamese population and a correspondingly large number of quality pho restaurants, and this place is by far the most expensive pho restaurant in which we have eaten. The prices for the pho were between 25% to 50% higher than we have paid elsewhere for the same pho combinations. At the time we ate here, this restaurant charged for the broth and noodles and then charged separately for each meat or vegetable added to the pho. Every other pho restaurant that we have eaten in, both before and since we've eaten here, has a set price for certain specific combinations of broth, pho noodles and proteins. Did not like this a la carte pricing method. In fairness, since this review is being done 13 months after weve eaten here, maybe the owners have changed this pricing method. Plus, at the time we ate here, the pho we had was only fair to middling in terms of taste. Maybe that too has improved in the intervening time. Anyway, at the time we ate here, it was a huge disappointment.

The Pho is quite good. We ordered a few side dishes and some bubble tea and those were so-so. We would definitely return for the Pho, however.

Stopped by for a late lunch before heading home 2 hours away. In a strip mall very clean ordered shrimp spring rolls & sauce yummy. Also ordered Pho 3 combo Excellent ! Could not finish & took a large portion to go. The best Pho I have enjoyed in a long time.

Good and very tasty food, good staff, bit far from the city and hard to reach during traffic hours, but still good! Recommendation!

Really enjoyed our meals. First time here, and so glad we went. We had the Soup with Meatballs, one with chicken, and one with steak, brisket and meatballs. Big portion, hot, with fresh sides to add. So good. Bubble tea was good. Small place, but nice employees, and quick service.

Service is a bit slow when busy. Now they have an ipad so you can order yourself, likewise to pay bill. Very tasty pho and ban minh.

The number one rule of Pho, is for the soup to be hot. Pho Yum delivered 3 bowls of like warm pho, with beef tendons and eye round beef which were all like warm. Soup base is good but a little too sweet to be authentic. But I consider myself lucky to be able to find Pho in Albany. For this reason I give Pho Yum a 4/10 instead of 3/10. The Apple IPad ordering menu is confusing and difficult to use. Bad idea imho.

Step away from the ho-hum. My meal at Pho Yum was such a refreshing change. The dishes there include a lot of fresh vegetables, herbs and light, tangy sauces. I love Vietnamese food. I have relatives who are Vietnamese.Pho Yum was every bit as good as I had hoped it would be. We showed up for a late lunch at 2pm on a Saturday. It was still very busy, but the food came out quickly. I had chicken vermicelli or "Bun", which is much more than it sounds. With Vietnamese food, so much goes into the presentation. The vermicelli rice noodles, grilled chicken, salad and chopped peanuts were piled high over a tangy sauce which I think is called Nuoc Cham. It's made of lime juice, sugar, water and fish sauce. Make sure to mix it all up from the bottom, otherwise it won't taste right. My husband had the shredded pork vermicelli and we shared an order of shredded pork summer rolls. My husband, who usually eats much more than I do, was too full to finish his meal, but I cleaned my plate. He said that he would have preferred it if his summer roll--which is wrapped in rice paper-- wasn't made up of cold ingredients. In other words, he wanted a fried spring roll. There's only one fried roll offered at Pho Yum and it's on the specials menu. I think it's called Nem rán or Nem nuong. It's a dish that my relatives serve in their homes. I enjoyed my Amber Bubble Tea, too. We stayed until I finished all it, right down to the last black tapioca bubble at the bottom of my glass. It was a beverage and a dessert all rolled into one. The prices are reasonable. The shared appetizer, two vermicelli bowls, bubble tea and one seltzer came out to $34. The decor is clean, bright and attractive with abstract images on the walls depicting Vietnamese women toiling in the fields as well as fishing. Our friendly waitress was the lone server, so she had her hands full, but she did everything just right. She returned a couple of times to make sure that we had everything that we needed to enjoy our meal. I would gladly come back for another meal. Next time, I'll try the fried spring rolls.
