The food is bad, the portion is very small, and it’s very expensive

Authentic food that truly comforts the soul, الحمدلله. It reminds me so much of Makkah/Madinah. My husband and I get food from all over Albany but still come back to this one every now and then. It’s just that amazing, ماشاء الله.

The negative reviews on here are just disheartening because the food is not as subpar as described nor is the service as bad as said. There is a very small staff of genuinely kind people and the food is always warm and fresh. It’s a lot of food for the price paid, we pay a lot more for subpar food at other places.

They have fresh spiced tea complimentary with any food order, which is very much needed on colder days like today!

With a fine-tuned focus on the authentic cuisine, the place is not as decorative as other restaurants. It may not be for everyone but it’s definitely a new cultural experience for those interested!

Please, please give this place a try. It’s worth a shot.

I always come here for Arabic/Yameni food. Its soooo so good. Alhamdulillah. Authentic taste and ginger tea is always free with any food.

Do yourself a favor, get the lamb haneeth if you’re feeling fancy and want a rich meal.

Get chicken if you’re tired of fried chicken or want a lot of food.

Get lamb fahsah it you want to dip nan (flat bread/rooti) into this curry thats sour and full of rich flavor from lamb and creamy slight bitter fenugreek seed sauce (whiteish sauce on top) that cuts through the sour for perfection.

Remember this is authentic food and they clearly emphasize the food and not some fancy location. Big portions .

First time here and had such an awesome breakfast spread! It came with spiced sweet tea, hummus, labneh, most delicious Yemenis olives, foul (mashed fava beans), gigantic bread, fried eggs, and honey fattah for dessert. Big portion so enough to enjoy for tmrw.

I've been to the hookah bar/dessert cafe upstairs and apparently the restaurant is also run by the same owner now. Very personable and kind.

What a great hidden jam in the capital region. Cant wait to try their lunch menu and also the café upstairs for hookah and belly dance!

My husband and I came here for lunch after Jummah and we absolutely love it here!!! The food is PHENOMENAL and the service is the epitome of Islam. You are greeted with a warm Asalamualaikum with a smile. May Allah Bless This Business and The People Ameen 🤲🏽

Tried Yamni Mandi
Flavor descriptions: first time I tried yamni food and
Albany new York it was good I will give 7 × 10
Cost-effectiveness: The food we gave order at this
restaurant was costly than other restaurants
/ Portion sizes: I am not fully satisfied their quantity of food was too less
Dining atmosphere: Their atmosphere was moderate Bread choices: So we ordered three breads and two was burned we didn't give them back(that was our own choice) then as a complimentary they gave us another bread
Reservation tips: I guess there is no need for reservation because it was not Rushy place you can go anytime but I will not recommend it at any cost
' Location: Saba restaurant Central Avenue Albany new
York
Overall ratings: 4 x 10
I give this ratings because nobody was on the counter we had to call one by one for the plates for the glass for the sauce for the drinks their service is too pathetic I will not recommend this restaurant by the way so this experience is failed
