2 chicken parm dinner for 27$ was awesome. Fed both of us with plenty to spare. Salad and bread were fresh and tasty. First time but we will be back soon.

Delicious authentic Italian food. Fresh tomato salad; mouth watering linguini with white clam sauce! Fantastic service!

Best Italian food you can get around here and you feel good supporting a local small business.

Sam's was always our favorite go- to restaurant when visiting relatives in Albany. I'm sorry to say that this time it was a huge disappointment. The eggplant parm, previously sliced paper thin, was very thick. A cod dish was missing artichokes, which was in the menu's description and the clams were very chewy. It could have been an off night, which happens. However, when we related our disappointment to the owner, in a very courteous manner, she was very defensive, even a bit rude. Disappointed and regretfully, we won't be returning.

- Have gone for years - but will not go again- all 4 of us were disappointed - eggplant cut too thick and seedy also cold when served - a meal I ordered had a key ingredient left out when I questioned it was told they had run out but wasn't informed prior - clams in linguini were tough- asked yo speak to owner and although she comped a meal was very defensive and did not listen to our concerns or feed back. We will not be going back!

Five friends and I enjoyed selections from Sam's special 50th Anniversary Celebration Menu offered this week only. The regular menu was also available. The service was friendly and the food delicious.

Well Rick Bedrosian, here's the review you asked for. In honor of their 50th anniversary Sam's had a special 3 course meal for $ 19.71. My wife ordered Eggplant Parn and she said it was the best she had ever had. My daughter and I went with linguini with clam sauce, white for her and red for me. She enjoyed her meal while I found mine lacking in, well, I guess I expected more seasoning but the clams were well prepared with only a couple having grit in them. I am a meat and potatoes kind of a guy and not usually a fan of " ini" food, linguini, fettuccine, tortellini but the special menu was quite limited. My wife and offspring will return but I'll pass on a repeat visit. 2 salads, 1 soup, 3 entrees and a Guinness for the old man came to $69 and change. Hope this helps.

When back to this long-established restaurant in my childhood neighborhood tonight. I was so disappointed. no tablecloth, not even a paper placemat. No candles. Zita noodles in place of lasagna noodles. Fettuccini Alfredo without the normal ingredients. Hard to say what the sauce was made of. My Chardonnay was flat. Perhaps the Pandemic caused personnel changes and tightened their budget. Very sad.

I’ve NEVER been disappointed coming here for dinner! Friendly staff, and excellent food. They also have a to-go dinner special. We have gotten the to-go & dined in multiple times, always a pleasure. Can’t wait to go back!
