Samurai is exactly what you'd expect from a hibachi joint on Wolf Rd. Perfectly average food for acceptably above average price. Nothing about Samurai will bring you to tears. It's not the best hibachi you'll ever have and your eyes won't widen in wonder at the table show. It's just.... Fine. The decoration and ambiance? Fine. The service? Fine. Food? You guessed it... fine.

This place wasn't bad. We were seated right away and service was fast. They had some more of the unique rolls I have seen in the capital district. All the rolls tasted fresh. My husband had a roll with steak which he liked. The drinks were just okay, a little inconsistent. My husband wasn't in love with his first drink so he got a Blackberry Margarita (which was my first) and it was good but it didn't match my drink at all.

My co-worker and I went here Monday evening and had the hibachi. Chicken and Shrimp and Filet and Shrimp! Everything looked delicious but wasn't up to par as we expected! My co-worker ate a piece of squash and it tasted like fish so I didn't touch mine. I did eat the mushrooms from the veggies and they were fine but when I ate a piece of broccoli it tasted like fish! We didn't eat the rest of our meals and left! On top of that they add the tip to your check which I don't care for at all and never noticed on the menu! The service was great and the ambiance was nice but neither made up for the food! Then when I got back to my hotel room I got deathly sick! They are cross contaminating their food! Beware of this restaurant when visiting the area!

This place is so delicious. The staff is very nice. I do wish they would check in with me more as I had to wave them down when I needed anything. They wouldn't just come and check. Other than that I'm very satisfied. This is my second time coming here and the rolls are very fresh and filling.

I recently ate at Samurai for the first time as part of a large group dinner. I'm giving Samurai a '3' rating for two reasons: first, the waitress assigned to our group had a visibly sour attitude, which the other members of my group also noticed and privately commented on; and second, the restaurant has the practice of automatically adding the gratuity on to the total of the tabs given to diners - but the wait staff noticeably does NOT point this out and the diner needs to happen to notice this if they do not want to inadvertently 'tip on top of the tip' that is already included!I read my tab in full because I wanted to calculate the appropriate amount of gratuity to leave and was surprised to see that it had already been added to my check. While I am okay with this as a point of convenience, I made sure to ask my dinner companions if they had happened to notice this on their own tabs. They had not - with several of them commenting, "I never look at the check, I just give them my card" (to process the tab). I am quite sure that the wait staff at Samurai counts on this default behavior by the majority of its customers in order to pad the tips they receive. To compound what I view as an ethically questionable practice (not informing diners of the fact that gratuity is already included), when the waitress serving our party came back to collect everyone's charge slips, she literally stood next to me and made a point of looking at my slip to see if I had tipped on top of the tip! I had not.So, Samurai, here are two recommendations from a customer from their first-time experience at your restaurant: 1) tell your wait staff that sour looks/attitudes towards your patrons are noticed and don't go over well; and 2) it's REALLY RUDE for your wait staff to visibly look at a guest's check to see if they added a tip on top of the gratuity they already paid!Parking: The parking lot is fairly small. Be sure to arrive early if possible, as the restaurant was packed on a Friday night and all the slots were quickly taken.

We have been going to Samurai since shortly after they opened. We celebrate all our significant life events there and will continue to do so.Top notch food. an extensive menu and wonderful cocktails.I can't praise Jerry too much. He has created a place that one can experience many different things. I was actually srenade with "Happy Birthday" in Italian once there.

I have been here 3 or 4 times before for sushi and all was tasty. This week I went with a group for hibachi for my son’s birthday and they did not disappoint! Our hibachi chef really played into the hands of my 4 and 6 year olds. In addition to cooking a great meal and entertaining us with his skills, he made a balloon monkey for the birthday boy. They also brought an ice cream desert with mochi and a sprinkle with my little guy loved!I had a spicy jalapeño tuna and Philadelphia roll with an order or tuna and salmon sashimi, in addition to a lychee martini. Delicious and fresh! Highly recommended.

I ordered UberEats the egg fried rice and it was a bit dry and could've been seasoned a little more. I crunched on a bit of eggshell also :(.
