My family has been eating at Scubbers since day one. I have lived in Wisconsin, Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and now Illinois but NO ONE comes close to their food. Many places try and fail to make great wings or buffalo chicken wraps. Scubbers is the only place that gets it. I was sad to hear of the owners passing and to hear of their closing at the end of this month. I have enjoyed their food for as long as I can remember and every time I eat their food I know I am home. Scubbers will ALWAYS have a place in my heart

Very disappointed bc i was expecting more. Maybe my timing was bad, but only one person doing counter and cooking. Service very slow but polite. Maybe shouldn't have gotten boneless wings, but they were poor. Chicken was good quality, but sauce was weak, little breading, squished together in a little serving container and mostly just chicken pieces, almost shredded. Fries were horribly soggy. Won't likely go back again.

I've been going to covers for 50 years since the day they opened. They have moved several times from their original location in Troy just north of Hoosick Street. Now they're they are on Wolf Road in Albany. Same world class wings with better efficiency now unfortunately they're very expensive but no more so than any place now that serves chicken wings so you might as well get them here because you won't beat them the owner is a character as well. Enjoy!
Steak sandwich was great. Loaded potato, weak..... I ordered fries as well which i did not recieve, the old guy did not write it down i suppose. You cant have him at main point of contact with customers.
Service super slow. Very slow, painfully slow. I called in a pick up order but they did not start my order until I showed up, (30 minutes he said), i get there and pay for it, and had to wait another 25 minutes? Bascially an hour wait to get an order when they were not busy at all. That is called terrible service.
Suggestion, get a family member, perhaps a niece or grandaugher, and spruce up the place with youth, someone at checkout that smiles Your shop has to adapt..... I must say this, because of my experience, I will not be back. Just being honest and respectful. It is what it is......

I moved out of NY in 2018. Whenever I come back for a visit I have to go to Scubbers. I grew up on these wings, I remember their old location in Latham and this place is just peak nostalgia for me.
I still say they are the best wings I’ve ever had and the beef on weck and pizza is also high quality.

The waffle fries were way too crispy, and the fried mozzarella was not crispy enough service was good The place looks fantastic but definitely needs to do a better job on the waffle fries and the fried mozzarella

Outstanding food! Both the wings and Beef-on-weck sandwich are better than any place in Buffalo. The wings are better than Duffs and BOW is better than Charlie’s. The BOW does not get soggy on the homemade rolls and has a good amount of meat. Wings are served with blue cheese, thank you!! The owner is extremely friendly and has great passion for the food. Must try, you won’t be disappointed and probably will become your favorite wing place.
