I like the place but they treat different some people, like minorities...I noticed that in 2 times I visited it. Maybe the cashier was tired but she smiled at and greeted all other customers. Seem like she had a bad day, hope she change her attitude, I'm not being rude or getting a free place. Doughnuts are delicious. :D

Too sweet and too salty. So, I've waited a long while to write my review, visiting the shop a handful of times before settling on my opinion of the establishment. Unfortunately, I echo the sentiments of other reviewers who say that the lattes if flavored are far too sweet (like a teenager's version of a Dunkin' Donuts coffee drink kind of sweet) and the baristas are not pleasant. At all. During my most recent visit, I had brought in my own travel mug and asked to use it. I asked for a latte and then read the bottom of my container which said it was 16 oz. I shared this with the barista. She replied, "well... it will only have 1 shot of espresso and a lot of milk. It will be kind of disgusting." Brushing off her tone at first, I responded, "oh- okay, can I add another shot of espresso?" She looked at me and didn't give me any indication she heard what I had said. I realized it was going to be "that" kind of experience and decided to keep this as short as possible, so I said, "can I just do the 12 oz latte then in this?" And she replied, "Yeah, I guess so." I looked at the list of syrups, knowing that they're "made in house" and saw one that looked pretty interesting. I inquired how this particular syrup was, sage citrus pine, and she replied in a snide tone, "what do you mean? It's an opinion. I like it but you might not like it. It tastes as the description says: Sage. Citrus. Pine." I paused and took in all the attitude but replied "okay, can I add that to my drink?" She response with a curt "Yep." The 'tude continued when she waited on my friend- who also ended up with a sickeningly sweet latte. I'm giving them 2 stars because they carry Tierra Farms whole beans which are phenomenal. Unfortunately, because of quality and salty service, I can't in good conscious go higher than that.

1 - Lovely interior but could use more seating. 2- Lattes are too sweet. 3 - Main criticism: Christian music playing in cafe. As an LGBTQ person, I do not feel welcome in a place like this. And I can only imagine how people of other faiths (Muslim, Jewish) might feel. The owners of this cafe may be welcoming and accepting of other people (I don't know if they are), but a Christian soundtrack will automatically raise the guard of any person who has been discriminated against due to others' religious beliefs. If the cafe owners are accepting of others, there is no messaging in the cafe suggesting this. Additionally, Skyline is not overtly branded as a Christian business; if this is an important part of its identity, it should be branded as such.

Very cute coffee shop. I love that it's open at night so I can go do work there. The worker was extremely nice and even though my friend an I were closing the place down, we didn't feel like she was pushing us to leave one bit.

I'm glad there's a coffee shop in the neighborhood and I like the decor/set up. I've had lattes and a mocha so far but I like that theyhaves juices and kombucha options. I haven't tried their patients but they looked incredibly tempting. It was pretty busy when I went Sunday morning and they ran out of open seating but I appreciated that it's more open so you don't have to shuffle past tables or step over cords to get to the counter. The WiFi wasn't working while I was there so I can't speak to the speed or usability.

I've been wanting to come here since I noticed it several months ago. I didn't know the name because signage out front is minimal, but I was excited nonetheless. Well today I went in and asked for a flavored coffee drink, sugar free & was told all syrups are made in-house and can't be made sugar free. Ok, I can deal with that. I asked if the peppermint mocha is strong and was told yes, so thanks for that honesty. I ended up ordering a chai latte with almond milk and it was so unbearably sweet I couldn't drink it. I was on the fence about getting something different but at $6 I knew my conscience wouldn't allow me to just dump it. So I asked the barista if I could get something else as it made my tummy hurt and she grudgingly did. The plain decaf cappuccino was eh. I couldn't finish that either, although I appreciate the milk design. Decor is nice, they need way more seating, and I may stop in for a cold drink in a few months to give it another shot.

First time. Last time. 1. I do not want to be subjected to Christian Rock. Ever. 2. If I order green tea, I want green tea. Not something that smells like mango pot pourri at a craft store. It's not a pleasant extra. Had I ordered a black coffee and it was served smelling like pumpkin spice, I'd be equally offended.

Relaxing place to have a cup of coffee.

I had been wanting to check this shop out for a while after finding them on Instagram. They did a really nice job decorating the inside. Very cute, nice place to relax and have coffee and check work emails. Staff was very friendly and welcoming when I arrived, made some good coffee suggestions for me, ended up getting an iced latte with maple syrup and oat milk. Very different and delicious. And my son loved the blueberry muffin! Will definitely go back. I love supporting small business and this one defiantly deserves support!

Very surprised by how happy I was with this place. Great environment, latte was good with decent price tag. Barista was knowledgeable and very sweet. I'm glad I was able to to visit this place while I was in NY.

To be fair, I'm a snooty about coffee, but my iced americano was underwhelming. Espresso takes finesse and the touch just wasn't there. I live in the neighborhood so I'm willing to give it another try, but I'm in no rush. For $4.05 lukewarm and lacking depth is not really acceptable. Better luck next time. :)
