It feel like it says a lot about the owners of Stacks that they would have only one person working on a Saturday morning. It’s busy. Poor girl was so flustered and doing her best to keep up with the 20+ people that were in line and kept coming in.

They were very dismissive. They kept head down while taking orders not even acknowledging the customers. Food and coffee were good.

Such a cute coffee shop. Had the French Toast Latte...a recommendation of the barista and loved it. The most affordable coffee shop Ive been to in such a long time.

Stacks Espresso Bar is a fantastic coffee spot in downtown Albany. I ordered my usual cortado, and it was excellent — smooth, well-balanced, and flavorful. One standout detail: they serve the cortado with a glass of water, which is a practice I wish more coffee shops would adopt.

The presentation was thoughtful, the service was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Plus, the downtown location makes it a great stop whether you’re passing through or exploring the area. Definitely a place I’d be happy to return to!

The coffee is pretty mid for the level of Tude... Atmosphere is nice, with hardwood, plenty of light and high ceilings.

Pastries are tasty too. But, unless you like customer service set to ennui (and just under Intolerance), go elsewhere.

Super disappointing experience on Sunday July 29th around 1130a. Walked in to around 8 people waiting on line - and took about 15 minutes for us to get helped.

After waiting the main cashier immediately told us all food was going to take “a really really long time” “like 20+ minutes.” Whether we wanted a toasted bagel or a full breakfast sandwich, she assured us the wait would be the same.

Needless to say we skipped on that - and got a ham & cheese croissant instead, which just needed to be warmed up. Unfortunately, after waiting an additional 10+ minutes for my drink, I had to go back to the counter and ask for my food - which the cashier told me she “totally forgot about.” It had been sitting in the oven literally the entire time and came out completely black - I’m surprised it didn’t start a fire. She tossed it directly in the mixed garbage can (another major fire hazard) - and told me I would HAVE to wait for another,

We’re already 25+ minutes into are experience at this point, and clearly cannot wait another 10+ minutes for an average-looking croissant. I just asked to take it cold (which it certainly was) - so we could get out of there ASAP. We were incredibly frustrated, but just wanted to get on with our day. I took the food without saying anything - and the cashier loudly shouts “THANK YOU” for everyone else on line to here.

Sorry, I’m an incredibly polite and well-mannered person - but don’t see any point in thanking someone who doesn’t value my time or experiences. No point to gratify poor service, bad in-store logistics, long wait times, and average coffee.

If the service was better this cafe would be perfect.
The girl in the cashier was very rude, almost as she was annoyed we were buying food there. This definitely ruined it for me, it made me feel very uncomfortable.
The coffee was great and the food too, but the service (and therefore the atmosphere) for me was not the best.

Food is good here but the service is a complete joke. Girl behind the counter with tattoos (Abbie?) was so unfriendly. Asked her if payment was ok and she looked at me like she wanted to fight and just didn’t say anything. My girlfriend and I just burst out laughing as it was so strange

Premium coffee...why aren't you here? Do you really have that much energy already that you don't even need this? You disgust the rest of us parents. If you need us... We'll be at Stacks boosting up for the day.

I love the creativity of the drinks/food items here, some items are seasonal but one of my favorites was when they had a corn based latte and street corn bagel. Usually stop in for a chocolate croissant and latte for regular days. Also plenty of space if you wanted to work here, there's even some space outside for nicer days.

A Nice find on a trip to Albany. Lots of locals here too. Acai bowl and tasty coffee drinks hitting the spot. I asked for a small correction to my bowl and the gentleman at the counter was helpful and gracious.
