I had showed up for a meeting with a colleague and was starting on my computer only ten mins in a girl from the counter approached me and told me the lobby was only for paying customers completely embarrassed me I always use Starbucks to do my work and ALWAYS purchase EVERYDAY until today after she walked away they proceeded to gossip behind the counter looking at me the entire time. I placed a Mobil order as I wanted no contact with them and tossed it in the trash. Never have I felt so uncomfortable being in a coffee shop I do this regularly to be in a stress free space. I will never be back here. I have also worked for Starbucks in the past and we NEVER approached a customer in the lobby we always allowed the consumer to come up at their own convenience and 10 mins is rediculous! Poor customer service AND embarrassment

Well, know, it sounds strange, every Starbucks is different. I had been spending my reading time at the one in Guilderland however, they depersonalized it taking away any signs of individuality such as blackboards, the cute name that the previous manager had for the location, and it now is completely homogeneous. Today I came to this location, and although it has some personality with one blackboard things like the trivia question and the rotating joke reasons for the purpose of the tip jar are long gone. This location is also much larger, less cozy, and the furniture is not as comfortable. Wooden chairs with minimal padding. The beverages were good. The next stop will be the one further east on Western Avenue and see if that still retains some individuality in a smaller cozier branch. Thanks to barista Paloma, always friendly and has a great first name!

Definitely some kind of tribe with attitude that works here including 1130 a m shift manager. Not inclusive and they enjoy being nasty to their customers . When one is particularly mean to a customer, the other ones are smiling..I turned out to be right that tiurbinado sugar is the same as sugar in the raw, but when I said this, I was told by the worker that I was ignorant. This is how utterly ridiculous the entire encounter was. Yup, no tip left for this one. Look out for 5’4” black sectioned hair, white , 135 pounds and nasty.

4 of us walked out of this location because an employee was was rude and arrogant.... Never had this experience before, nor will we ever go back until this worker is replaced.

The crew here are so nice and welcoming. I come here often because I am a nursing student and I also work locally at one of the hospitals. I have to say, Kayla and Jordan make my order with a smile and are so charming. When I run out of things to get, they suggest new options. They always let me know about the deals of the day and i think this whole team needs a raise if possible. Today i kept it sweet & simple with a Venti Strawberry Acai with water- hold the lemonade. Thank You guys!!

0 stars if I could. I spend an obscene amount of money at Starbucks on a daily basis. Today I ordered at Stuyvesant (my first mistake) to start my jam packed full day of work. My refresher was disgusting - tasted completely watered down, like they ran out of mixture or something.

They actually gave me 2 drinks (when I ordered 1) because the person making it either knew it tasted terrible or didn’t know what they were doing and messed up. Thought I lucked out - but actually Had to throw both out.

Paloma or whoever answered the phone refuses to give any type of refund or replacement unless I bring the drink back TODAY which is totally unrealistic as I’m out of the area for the day. What poor customer service by a billion dollar corporation for a frequently paying customer. Guess they don’t care about customer satisfaction. Oh well, won’t go there ever again.

Worst staff. Very unfriendly and rude. Shift supervisor was very arrogant and rude along with three more employees/staff. They got two of my orders wrong. I would not recommend this location to anyone. When a shift supervisor herself is rude and arrogant to customers, I don't expect rest of the staff to be nice. Starbucks management needs to notice this and train these employees on "Customer service"

YOU WANT CUSTOMER SERVICE DONE THE RIGHT WAY?!? GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!This would be the SECOND issue I’ve had at this Starbucks. I called the customer service toll free number for Starbucks and advised of the issue today. Typical Friday morning hustle and bustle; everyone collecting their orders, and I was waiting for a good 15 minutes for my mobile order. Kayla came over (yes I know her name as she was the first employee I ever had an issue with, sorry supervisor she will tell you that firsthand but won’t extend the customer service, that we have been accustomed to receiving from Starbucks, but that’s another story.) to inquire what I was waiting on. I advise of same and she went about her duties. A barista, purple shirt, two ponytails black hair, glasses was the nastiest, rudest barista I have ever encountered there. She placed my drink on the counter and yelled my name it’s pronounced Jay-Ana she said “Gina” whatever. In any event I took my drink, grabbed a straw, and advised that I also have food. When I told her I have food her response: you have what? In the rudest manner. The proper way to say it would have been: did you also have a food item? Like her colleagues do. She looked down grabbed the item and didn’t hand it to me, per se, just stood there holding it. I grabbed it from her and left. She giggled as I left. Never again will I go to this Starbucks!!! Not sure if it’s the Friday morning crew? But I NEVER encounter such behavior from the baristas during the week. As I frequent Starbucks Monday through Friday; sometimes twice as I work two jobs. This incident has been reported and hopefully I will be hearing from the GM soon. I will drive down another minute or two, to the other location on Western or go to Wolf Rd. Golden rule treat others how you want to be treated. I get they are busy, however, it's a way to treat your customers. Starbucks is open and operating because of loyal customers like me. Lead with kindness always. Maybe the barista in the purple shirt and Kayla will learn this lesson. Sorry I have to identify the barista (as the one with the purple shirt) I called to speak with a manager and Kayla answered and said “I don’t give me baristas names over the phone”. I honestly feel that they know they won’t get fired, and upper management will not reprimand them, which is why they behave the way they do.

Had the same terrible experience with Kayla. She needs to be fired. People like her give food service employees a bad reputation.
