We stop at Gateway almost everytime we are in Albany and it never falters! can't say enough great things about this diner. Ample parking, easy entrance, close to I-90.
Nigh (excuse the mispelling!) is one the best servers! She is friendly- always with a smile, has an amazing memory and just all around fantastic! If you want a great experience, great food and a friendly environment try this place!

The food is quite bland and the homefries were not what I expected. The orange juice I ordered tasted watery. We came with a group of 8 and were seated pretty quickly. Service was pretty good and food came in a timely manner.

2 members of the wait staff looked like homeless people. The food was bland, my marinated chicken was not marinated, it was bland, one piece was pink in the middle. Tasted dry and boiled. Potatoes were instant and bland. Cauliflower was undercooked and bland. Horrible! Don't go

The vibe is off here. Almost everyone in the dining room where we were seated had their coats on due to how cold it was. Their thermostat read 63 degrees when we were seated. Our pancakes came out cold and were not fluffy; felt like they were very dense and made ahead of time to serve quickly. Disappointed in the fake maple syrup sitting on table after ordering.
