Healthy Cafe catered our 80-person rehearsal dinner and did a FABULOUS job. Betsy was responsive, helpful, and warm throughout the planning process, helping us pick a menu that fit the picnic style feel we were hoping for, including being receptive to a few off-menu ideas my wife and I asked to add. The Healthy Cafe team at the event was so wonderful, professional, and easy to work with. All the food was incredible. Healthy Cafe is a great value, incredible quality, and a joy to work with; we would choose them again in a second for any catering needs.

With a month left until our wedding, our other caterer became unresponsive and we opted to search for a new one, finding healthy cafe catering. Betsy answered our inquiry extremely fast, was super helpful and understanding of our situation and thankfully they had availability. She allowed us to use the items we had already purchased, was super receptive to our guest’s allergies and my favorite part is her telling me I was trying to order too much LOL. Nothing solidifies an honest and great business like saving a customer from spending more than necessary. I cannot say enough good things about her and our lines of communication.

The staff, Jean and cristen, she sent to handle the event itself were an absolute dream. They were so great with our guests, went above and beyond what was expected of them and even more than that they had great personality and got along so well with our crazy family.

The food was amazing, almost every guest, even those who are notoriously particular, made it a point to ask who we used and say how flavorful and well prepared it was.

Healthy Cafe was fabulous! The food was delicious, and they worked with me on delivery time and setup. I ordered from them for a holiday dinner for my clients, and everyone loved it. The gluten free options were a huge plus. I would definitely order from here again!

The Healthy Cafe catered my daughter’s graduation party this past June and it was perfect! We did a brunch and all the food was delicious! We received so many compliments, even the kids commented on how great the food was. The Baked Apple French Toast was amazing and by far everyone’s favorite. Working with them from start to finish was simple and easy. They are very responsive during the planning process and delivered right on time. Absolutely wonderful experience, can’t wait to use them again and would recommend them to all my friends! Thank you!

I hired this company December 2023 for a bridal shower on July 21, 2024. I was very specific that I wanted a mimosa bar. They ensured me they could do this and they have worked with my venue MANY times. July 19, less than 48 HOURS prior to my event a coordinator informs me they FORGOT to apply for a temporary liquor license, but not to worry they won’t charge me for the mimosa bar and will give me sparkling cider. We had been communicating frequently for two weeks and never once did they mention an issue. They waited until very last minute on a Friday when my hands were tied and I couldn’t drop them to search for someone else. Did the owner call? No. Did I get a proper discount? No. Did they provide a verbal apology at the event that cost me thousands? Ha, NO! This place almost destroyed my event and they didn’t have a single care in the world. The venue tried to fix the issue and was apologetic when it wasn’t their fault. This company is unprofessional and their “customer service” is disgusting. I hired and paid my dues EIGHT months prior, if I “forgot” to pay I wouldn’t have had service. They do not care, clearly.

I hired this company in December for a bridal shower at the end of July. The agreement was to have a mimosa bar. They have worked with the facility I chose numerous times, they were VERY aware of the process to obtain a temporary liquor license. Less than 48 hours before my event I was informed that they “forgot” to apply. Conveniently, they called me on a Friday event was Sunday. There was no way to replace them. They offered me a “mocktail bar” as if that rectified the situation. They made this commitment almost EIGHT months prior. There was zero excuse. The facility I hired was the only one that attempted to truly rectify the situation. This is a shame because the food was delicious, but I specifically hired them because they were able to provide a mimosa bar. THEN a family member decided to give them a second chance for a baby shower and hired them. They showed up TWO HOURS late. I would never recommend them again. They almost wrecked my event I had planned so long for and I didn’t get a single apology to my face at the event, the owner never called made her assistant call me. Cowards. Despicable. Poor excuse of a company.

Leaving a bad review is something I never do, however I would like to warn people of our experience in hopes to prevent them from dealing with what we dealt with today. This company was hired to cater my cousins baby shower at a winery in Saratoga. Not only did this company not deliver the food we ordered, they were impossible to contact. We had a baby shower with over 50 guests and no food to serve them! Absolutely heartbreaking. Once I was *finally* able to talk to someone through their answering service I was given apologies for the “inconvenience.” No call, no showing as a catering service is beyond inconvenient- it is UNACCEPTABLE. I was told by the answering service that they would contact the Albany store and get ahold of me. Two hours from when our food was supposed to be dropped off, the caterer finally showed up saying he was “stuck in traffic on the northway.” We are understanding people, but to be given no answers or warning that our food would be delivered near the end of our event is absolutely unprofessional, unacceptable and ridiculous. A courtesy call is the least that could’ve been done. I will never be doing business with a company so unreliable again, and I hope others think twice before hiring them for their events as well. Not surprisingly, we have yet to hear from the owner/boss to reconcile such unprofessionalism.

My husband and I recently worked with the Healthy Café Catering Company to cater our wedding. Betsy and her team were phenomenal from the beginning to end. Betsy met with me to review different menu options. I was looking for a ‘surf & turf’ type theme, but not a sit-down dinner….is that even possible? Betsy didn’t even flinch, and the result exceeded expectations! From the Charcuterie Board and Passed Hors D’oeuvres, to the AMAZING Seared Scallops and Rosemary Encrusted Beef Tenderloin entree, we can’t rave about it enough! I think most importantly though was the expertise of the staff. Not only were they friendly and fun, but they also paid attention to every little detail that would normally stress me out! There wasn’t a dirty plate or crumb in sight! I didn’t worry about one thing when it came to the food on my wedding day and my family, and friends still talk about how great it was! Thank you to the Healthy Café Catering Company for making our special day that much more special!

Seriously... even the carnivores of the family were impressed.Cold option: get the petit sandwich platter...Why? Unadventurous kids ate twists on turkey & roast beef and liked it. One even ate a mushroom sandwich and went back for more. That's magic.The classics:Sausage & Peppers... I can't say anything about them, except I never had a chance to taste them before they were devoured.Traditional Meat Lasagna... Hearty, well seasoned, and raved about by many.The Jumpin' Julia Salad...Yep, even a chopped up vegetable medley made an impression with it's delicious add-ins and perfect execution.The thing I personally liked least: the baked Macaroni & Cheese. Why? Personal preference... I think Mac & Cheese should always be a drippy, messy catastrophe of a dish. However, this was exactly what baked macaroni and cheese should be; perfectly cooked noodles, evenly cheesed, and simple flavoring for those picky eaters.Alright, you've reached the end. Excellent experience, start to finish. I worked with Marissa on all aspects of my order, including initial estimates of food types and quantities, final decisions, pricing and payment, and delivery. She was prompt, professional, and helpful. I wasn't sure how much or what food to order for our party and she helped developed a final number with platters and hors d'ouevres - right on target. There was just a small amount remaining. Most importantly, the food was delicious and the presentation as perfect - gorgeous platters! The chicken satay and meatballs were a huge hit, as were cheese platters and Italian platters. The price was around what I expected and well worth it for professional service, quality and quantity of food, delivery and set up. Amazing!

The food was phenomenal. Everyone raved over the short ribs. Family at times can be hard to please everyone but there are absolutely no complaints at all at our gathering. I’ve used them before and I definitely will be using them again. They are accommodating for everything that you may need.
