Love this place! Beautiful building AND vegan options are amazing!
Excellent place to unwind over great food.
Was there for a bridal shower and it was wonderful. The food was amazing and waitress was awesome. What a fabulous meal and time!!!!
I love The Hollow!!
I was in the area and stopped in for dinner. I was pleasantly impressed. Hollow is upscale but has a relaxed environment. I loved the decor; it's very cozy in the restaurant area.
I was with a larger group and we ordered a lot of food; I was able to try a lot of the food off of the menu and their drinks, too.
I loved their salad, chicken, steak, other small plates and dessert.
I would definitely come back here again and try more of their entrees. Their other drinks looked delicious too.
I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. What a great dinner spot!
I was told to try the vegan steak dinner so I made a reservation and it was 10/10 amazing. The presentation wasn’t the best but the steak was so delicious the potatoes were seasoned very well and the greens were so good.
The customer service was great I had a waitress covered in tattoos and she was so beautiful and kind her customer service was perfect! The vibe was great and I was greeted when I arrived and when I left.
The meal was $30 and totally worth it I’m coming back for sure!
Please stop messing with the TVs and just make a good cocktail in less than 10 minutes
Went in the other night- they were busy but not slammed and we could see a couple open tables and about 5 seats at the bar.
I don’t know if they were short staffed last night but the service wasnt great- we were pretty frustrated and wanted more than one beer. We finally see the waitress again behind the side bar and make eye contact- she calls out to us “do you guys want anything else?” 😐 Instead of saying yes, we gave up and my boyfriend walked the card over to her so we could just finally leave.
Also watched the bartenders boyfriend grabbing the soda gun and filing up his drink so it just seems like anything goes here.
Food was good- idk if I’d go back though.
The Hollow is an Albany gem The food is excellent with friendly service and they often have great music and events happening!

First of all, the customer service was AWFUL. I consider myself to be generally understanding and patient as a customer. I’ve worked in customer service and know how difficult/ entitled customers can be towards staff. So, the fact I’m writing such a long and negative review says a lot. Our waitress was rude, standoffish, and unapologetic for the multiple problems with our orders until it was time tip.
I ordered a cosmopolitan and was given a bright red drink that tasted like fruit punch flavored vodka that I could barely swallow. When I tried to send it back and hand it to our waitress, she shoved it back in my hands and said, “It’s a cosmopolitan, I’ve seen cosmopolitans and this is what it looks like. What am I supposed to tell the bartender?” She basically gaslighted me about the color of the $16 drink. I gave up and I ordered another drink with rosemary in it only to find that there were bugs in my drink. When I pointed this out, our waitress said, “that’s weird” took it away and brought me another one without asking if I wanted it (of course I did not after finding bugs). Then we got our food. My boyfriend and I both ordered burgers. I ordered mine well done and the burger was charred, looked like hockey puck, and too tough to chew. My boyfriend’s medium-well burger was also charred and tough on the outside but red on the inside. On top of all of this, we were seated by the kitchen and I saw people walking in and out without washing their hands multiple times. We left the restaurant hungrier than we were when we walked in and ended up going to another restaurant across the street.

This place had a very rustic feel to it, I love the vibe it gave off. The waiter we had was very graceful and kind, I appreciate his humor that was not dry to note, unlike other experiences like what I've had at Texas Roadhouse, ehm. Again like the rest of my reviews this waitee deserves a raise please give the man a raise whoever is reading this because he definitely deserves it for all of his kindness to us by the way we were a party of six and he still managed to take all of our orders and make it simple and easy for us we got out of there at 7:00 and arrived at about 5:47 p.m. thank you and goodbye.

I really wanted to like The Hollow. It has a great name. We had an excellent server. The central location of the place made it totally accessible and parking was a breeze.
The appetizer, Tirokafteri, was unpleasant with a sour flavor and not much flavor besides that.
The main dish, Vegan Filet au Poivre was practically inedible due to the excessive, smashed-on boatload of pepper. I scraped off as much as possible (about a tablespoon or more) but it didn't help. Not only was the pepper totally overwhelming, but the temperature added to that heat and made it very challenging to eat. There were some scrumptious roasted potatoes. So delicious. The string beans which hadn't been trimmed so their rough hard end was still on, were also smothered with pepper and there was a sauce that was a flavorless afterthought. Bummer.
Sad for me. I so wanted this place to be fantastic and to love their food.
At home today, I had the leftovers for lunch:
I rinsed the pepper off the string beans and trimmed off the hard ends. Without the deathly pepper disguise, they were still spicy enough but had a lovely tart flavor. I scraped off all the pepper from the Vegan Filet and it was deeeelish!
I so wish the meal had been seasoned more thoughtfully and with care and consideration that someone would actually be eating it.
Oh well...
I'm definitely going to go back and try some other menu items.
(Dessert was a Dulce de Leche cake... boring)

We had our daughter and son in law's wedding reception in the music venue. It was spectacular. As always, the Hollow food is exceptional and caters to vegan/gluten free options. The garlicky green beans were a huge hit! Both the food servers, and bar staff were second to none and went out of their way to accommodate us. Dora, the event coordinator, was a pleasure to work with, and was very flexible. Lastly - but not least, the pricing was very reasonable for a wedding reception!!
