One of the best local movie theaters around! Ive been.going to the Madison since I was a kid! Highly recommend
We bought tickets through fandango for a 2:50 showing of the new Spike Lee movie.. We got there at 2:30 only to find all the doors locked and no lights on. No one came to let patrons in by 2:50. Disappointing!! Fortunately we got a refund through the app. But if you get a matinee ticket, maybe call ahead.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Vibes, Comfort, and Pure Magic
This theater is an absolute gem. The staff treats you like a friend, the seats are ridiculously comfy, and the sound and lights make every show feel like you’re right in the middle of it. The performances? Next-level full of energy, heart, and moments that give you goosebumps. If you’re looking for a night out that’s pure magic from start to finish, this is the spot.
We did an event there ( birthday party)
and it was pretty neat. The kids took pictures with the photo booth and then they watched a movie and had cake.
If you're looking to rent it for a private event then I say go for it!
The owner Kevin is easy going and easy to work with.

I tried to go see the new Superman today, but couldn't find anyone to scan my ticket. I had paid for the 8:20 show time and was a bit late, arriving at 8:24. I couldn't find anyone to scan my ticket so I seated myself. I've been to a few theaters that scan your ticket after you sit down, and since I'd never been here before thought maybe that was the method. Even though it was a few minutes after my show time, what was playing was the END of the movie. I slipped out and tried again to find an employee or see if there was a different Superman theater I was supposed to be in. No luck - I was in the right theater but the time was off somehow. The lobby was super loud because of the trivia night event, so I walked to a quiet place and called. The person who answered kept asking me to repeat that I had seated myself and questioning that I couldn't find an employee. I was told that the 8:20 showing didn't seat until around 8:40pm. So apparently it's my fault for 1) not knowing that 8:20 meant 8:40 and 2) seating myself in the correct theater during the time on my paid ticket.
I'm hoping Fandango will give me a refund, because I was really excited to watch the movie and it's a bummer that I paid $14 and all I got to see was the last three minutes.
I used to really enjoy going here a few years ago and then it closed, and it is back open now, under new ownership is my understanding. Whoever the new owner is has horrible customer service and is extremely disorganized. My friend and I booked a movie online for a 7:30 pm showing and paid $16 each and when we got there, there was no 7:30 pm showing, in fact the theater had been booked for a private showing, and the restaurant was closed none of which was mentioned on the website. The only snack options they had was super salty popcorn that weren't properly popped and 5 candy options and he refused to give us a refund. Will not be going back and wouldn't recommend.
You can order food there and watch a movie. The seats are comfortable…… They have alcoholic drinks there as well….. Every Tuesday they have five dollar movie tickets !!!!! Also, I’m thinking about going to the open mic night comedy show I think it’s this Wednesday June 18
Our school went on a field trip there and the owner was great meeting accommodations for the students. The service was quick and friendly.
This theater is tough to rate because it looks and feels run down, however, the staff were very friendly, it gives an alternative place to meet in the area, and they allow for on line ordering if food and the food we ordered was very good, better than other theaters that allow for the ordering of food.
Saw the Minecraft movie and nearly pissed myself outta laughter thank you Madison Theatre for being chill and cool n stuff

Today took three excited kiddos to the 1:25 showing of Minecraft and they were not open!!! Unreal! We usually love the Madison but after today I am not so sure. Glad I didn’t buy our tickets online!
Menu is now trash. Clearly half of it is frozen food. Movies are louder now though .
The theater looks great. People should know about the event space that replaced two small theaters. Floors are clean, bathrooms are immaculate and seating is comfortable. Keep up the good work.
Very inexpensive and i appreciate that it's small and intimate. And you can have food and a drink there as well.
A neighborhood staple, so glad to have a classic theater in walking distance.
