Very good new Indian restaurant. Lots of vegetarian options. Fresh and flavorful, A cut above the usual places on lark and central

They are closed for renovations, but, they charge you. I placed an order online. Got an email that the order was confirmed. I show up to the restaurant to pick it up and they door said they are closed for reminding 2 weeks. Tried calling the restaurant and obviously no one picked up. Why would you confirm the order if you know you can't provide services?

The fact that there isn't a line out the door is a surprise to me. Especially after eating the food. I had the buffet, which had a selection of chicken and vegetarian options on the day in writing this. The chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, and tandoori chicken were better than 90% of the by-the-plate restaurants I've been to (all across America and Asia). I'm a big fan of spice, so I might not be the best gauge, but I didn't think it was too spicy for softer tongues. Everything was well seasoned and nothing was dry, despite it being in heating trays. The Naan was crispy but airy and the rice was light and fluffy. At $13 a person, I felt like a thief for eating as well as I did. If you're in the area and love Indian food, make the stop.

Delicious Indian food for great prices. Paneer was very soft and felt homemade. Masala chai was very good as well. Definitely recommend this place. The great reviews speak for the quality and taste of the food.

It's nice to see that they have a lot of vegetarian options on the menu. The food was great and the place is cozy and elegant.

What a delightful experience we had in the Mughal Palace we we were greeted by the chef in person and what a GREAT CHEF he is . The food really tasted soooo good . We have tried indian/pakistani food in LA, Bay area ,Seattle but Gosh what you try here is really something else !!. It went beyond our expectations , everything is mouthwatering from appetizer to the dessert ( we were offered desert and what a nice gesture from the owner ) . Highly recommend this restaurant if you want to spoil your taste buds ?

Oh my goodness - AMAZING! We stayed in Albany for 4 nights and found Mughals on day one. Did not expect to eat here every evening but the food was SO GOOD we just had to make the most of this experience. We eat a lot of Indian food (we travel a lot) and this has to be the tastiest authentic Indian food I’ve had in a long time. The establishment is very unassuming but my goodness they can cook. Delicate layers of spices create a harmonious flavour - no matter the spice level you choose. This food is authentic, tasty, good sized portions and just all-round delicious. The owner, staff and chefs are all really nice people.10 stars!!!

What an amazing find! For the first time in our life in USA we were proud of ourselves to have found this amazing place in Albany NY. If you ever want to have an authentic Indian food this is the place you definitely should go. The food is so good, we were so amazed. We couldn’t stop eating. We ordered a chicken mughlai and Nihari. Words aren’t enough and wouldn’t justify how delicious the food was. You have to go try. I’ll be forever going to this place to eat. I wish I lived nearby. The hosts are outstanding.

We took a chance on this place after reading some great reviews. The owner/chef asked if we wanted Indian or American style preparation. We were there for the Indian food, so that's what we asked for and it did not disappoint. The food was outstanding -- somosas, chana masala, tandoori chicken, and more -- my husband and I would order it all again and we will definitely be back. I regret not asking the chef/owner his name. He was gracious, kind and genuinely happy to feed us. He said it was like feeding his own children. The cherry on top was the free dessert he delivered with a warm smile.

A random stop from Niagara falls to Boston was made here for lunch and what a great find. Very courteous staff and service was great. Place was neat and clean. Ordered mainly vegetarian dishes and food tasted very homely and delicious. Lassi and samosa could be improved for sure ? but maincourse dishes were great especially the saag paneer. One of the best saag paneer of all the places tried so far.

Was traveling via Albany and decided to stop here for a quick lunch. Went by the name of the restaurant and ordered mughlai chicken. Simply put, it was bad. Tiny pieces of chickens suspended in garlicky soup for $16. One of the worst dining experiences in the US.Edit: the owner has obviously mistaken who we were. We were a party of two. We did not charge any device, make any exorbitant requests or clog any toilet. I used the toilet twice, to wash my hand and pee. I even tipped uncle ji 18% despite the bad service. The response from the owner is very rude, retaliatory and misinformed.

My wife and I visited tonight and had a great experience. The food tasted amazing! We were surprised the restaurant was a little empty.I told them the food was really good, and they let us know that it is all made from scratch every day, with real ingredients. The price for the quality is really good. Before tip, it was $28 for two people, which is really impressive considering everything is cut fresh. We definitely want to go back next time we visit Albany. If you get the chance, I highly recommend visiting.

This restaurant is a gem when it comes to tasty Indian food. We could savour the freshness in the ingredients and the flavours are great. Service was quick and welcoming. The place is tidy but we didn't expect to be the only customers at that time. I think this place is not known to many and that's why it's empty.
