Long time patron first time reviewing. Mr, D's is consistently good and reliable. The drunken clams and lobster bisque are two of the highlights on the menu. They also have outstanding onion rings. Happy hour starts at 4:30pm.

Mr. D's did not disappoint, the decor and ambiance was very nice, our meals were excellent and the staff was very attentive from the moment we walked in, the hostess was extremely nice and our waiter Michael was absolutely the best.

I went here and was skeptical as there are very few restaurants in hotels that are worth anything. I have to say this one was incredible from appetizer to dessert. Unbelievably good food cooked perfectly. What a great find!

It started out a little rocky due to the hostess being confused on who was waiting first and yet they wrote down our names lol but me being me I took over to help and everyone was seated in the correct order. Our waitress was one of the best waitresses that I've had in my life! She was attentive to my children and myself. She laughed with us and gave us her recommendations. The ambiance is cute it has a boat vibe. The challah French toast was good as well as the classic breakfast but the turkey bacon is nasty for sure, I'm not sure what brand they use but they need not to use it any longer.

First time to Mr. D's and can't say enough positive things about the experience! From the hostess to the wait staff to the manager. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want to go out for a good dining experience, I would highly recommend!

Went on Valentine's Day and had drinks 1st at the bar. Good drinks. Food was very good but service was frazzled. Hotel guests were rowdy and even a small group ordered pizza for delivery and tried to sit by the fireplace and luckily were asked to go to the lobby. Little disappointed overall.

Had filet mignon, was dry with very little flavor. Waitress was awful, waited 20 minutes for a drink, and food came out cold. Drunks at the bar yelling and dropping F bombs. Definitely would not go back for dinner. Breakfast the next day was very good and reasonably priced.

We had a very good meal, made to order, and great service offered by Debbie and Mike! We appreciated that the dining room seating was comfortably separated, given all the illness going around. Background music was a little loud. Looking forward to our next visit!

I come to this place when in Albany. The bread pudding is to die for! Place is elegant and perfect from a date to a meeting. Thank you Deb for always having my order correct!
Service and atmosphere were excellent. Filet Mignon was ordered medium and arrived very rare in the center. Waiter took it back and made it better. Prices are reasonable for being in a hotel restaurant. Grouper and Bouillabaisse were presented well and tasted fine.

A wonderful dinner with my husband. We have been coming to the hotel since the 80's. Delicious food, although my boulliabase was not in a red sauce. There wasn't enough fish but it was tasty. My husbands meal - chicken sandwich, fries and wings was great for him.

Mr.D's is located in the Desmond hotel..is easy to get to with lots of parking. It has a really good menu with lots of options from small apps to sandwhiches to full entries. I had the filet mignon that came with veggies and a potato pancake. The filet was tender and cooked perfectly..highly recommended and the price is right at $40. I sat at the bar and Danielle was great..very personable and able to give suggestions on both food and drink. They have a variety of beers on tap, unique mixed drinks and a good size wine list with lots of by the glass options. The atmosphere is nice with a modern feel..lots of tables for larger groups and an area to sit by the fireplace. I look forward to going back to try some other menu items.

The service was horrible We sat for almost 15 minutes before being seen for drinks or any kind of order After we received our drinks we ordered our food and when it was delivered we did not see our waitress again until we asked another server for our bill Our waitress never asked how our meal was or if we needed refills even though my empty glass was on the edge of the table

The food was good for the price! The service was really poor due to the weather and having a lot of utility workers arrive at the same time. We waited over an hour for the food, the appetizer was delayed and overlapped with the delivery of the main meal!
