I recently treated my mentee here for dinner and we had a lovely time. We both ordered the oxtail meal and it was sinfully delicious! I cannot wait to have it again. We also loved the tropical juice with the sugared rim. It was so good, we didn't order alcohol.
The servers were friendly, and the restaurant (including the bathroom!) was nice and warm. And beautiful artwork adorns the walls. We will definitely return!

Scrumptious African & Indo-Caribbean fare in a cozy townhouse! Such a unique, diverse menu that’s worth trying

We ordered the Ethiopian Vegan Platter for delivery and it was very disappointing, especially compared to the Ethiopian food we've had in NYC. The injera was dry and flaky, and basically fell apart as soon as we took it out of the silver foil it was wrapped in. The stewed veggies and salads were average.

I made a reservation with the restaurant on 10/11 and specifically asked if they were open, I was told yes, but came to the restaurant closed with only a sign letting people know.

Review as delivery driver. Service is incredibly slow, even when it's dead. Orders marked as ready to pick up when they aren't even started. Employees also give attitude if your order is not ready. Place shouldn't offer delivery if they can't handle it

They have excellently spiced food, as well as less spicy things. The jollof rice is good, and they have traditional chicken, lamb, fish, and beef dishes as well as vegan options like curried chickpeas and tofu. Staff are always friendly and portion sizes are generous.

I’m vegan of 14 years and not a fan of eating at non-vegan places but seeing that this restaurant had a separate plant-based menu and wanting a break from the sandwiches from the nearby vegan places, I decided to try this place.

I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of flavors and options. My non-vegan companion also ordered from the plant-based menu and was wowed.

We are definitely coming back when in the area again to try the rest of their plant-based menu - I just wish they opened earlier than 5pm on the weekdays.

I don’t rate non-vegan places five stars anymore but I’m really grateful for their effort to make plant-based eating more accessible.

Got to oxtail and the burger, both were amazing. All the sides were also very good, food was consistent all the way around. I enjoyed the colorful atmosphere and when I peaked into the kitchen it looked incredibly clean and organized. Highly recommend!!

We went for the “jazz brunch” which I didn’t see why we needed reservations for. It wasn’t busy AT ALL. The Jazz..well let’s just say it was a playlist off Spotify or something. We anticipated live music. You’re greeted by this thick, dingy curtain as you walk in..and our waitress was ok, she didn’t introduce herself and she filled our glasses half way. The place needs a bit cleaning too. And the entree prices were average for what you would pay now..(expensive) but our desserts were $12/$14 dollars! And I received a sliver corner piece of bread pudding. Very EXPENSIVE. The only good thing I would say was the food was DELICIOUS! Other than that, we will not be back. The one in the plaza is a “go to”

I stopped in while visiting town and was blown away by the incredible flavors in their food! I ordered the tofu satay and every item on the plate hit all of the marks, you can tell the items on the plate were intentionally included to balance the pallet. Next time I'm in Albany, I will be sure to come through again!

INCREDIBLE FOOD and such friendly service!!! Drinks were delicious, the Ethiopian food was bomb & so was the curry! And the bread pudding was SO good!

Definitely worth experiencing! I need to try more from their menu, so far loving their tofu options, the chickpea curry and all the rice options. Their home made sangria is also a must try! I will say that I think some of the jerk spices are toned down for my tastes but only with selected items like the pineapple chicken but still I never regret anything I've ordered.
