Tastes like it was made with love.

We went for the “jazz brunch” which I didn’t see why we needed reservations for. It wasn’t busy AT ALL. The Jazz..well let’s just say it was a playlist off Spotify or something. We anticipated live music. You’re greeted by this thick, dingy curtain as you walk in..and our waitress was ok, she didn’t introduce herself and she filled our glasses half way. The place needs a bit cleaning too. And the entree prices were average for what you would pay now..(expensive) but our desserts were $12/$14 dollars! And I received a sliver corner piece of bread pudding. Very EXPENSIVE. The only good thing I would say was the food was DELICIOUS! Other than that, we will not be back. The one in the plaza is a “go to”

I stopped in while visiting town and was blown away by the incredible flavors in their food! I ordered the tofu satay and every item on the plate hit all of the marks, you can tell the items on the plate were intentionally included to balance the pallet. Next time I'm in Albany, I will be sure to come through again!

INCREDIBLE FOOD and such friendly service!!! Drinks were delicious, the Ethiopian food was bomb & so was the curry! And the bread pudding was SO good!

Definitely worth experiencing! I need to try more from their menu, so far loving their tofu options, the chickpea curry and all the rice options. Their home made sangria is also a must try! I will say that I think some of the jerk spices are toned down for my tastes but only with selected items like the pineapple chicken but still I never regret anything I've ordered.

Went for lunch this afternoon and was delighted by this spot. I tried the sorrel tea and the turmeric tofu tacos and I’d give both a 5/5. Their tofu is sooo yummy and came with delicious plantains. Lovely place!!

Honestly 10/10 every time I’m there. Some of the best flavored food and the kindest warmest people who work there. Last time I was there we had a friends birthday party for a pretty large group- the server was so nice, they never rushed us, all of our food came out at the same time, they let us bring our own cake in and even let us drop off the cake early and keep it in their fridge. Great restaurant !

The food and drinks here were amazing! Best jollof rice in the Albany area in my opinion. The service and ambiance was really great as well! Will definitely be coming back in the near future!

Very overpriced. The cocktail was bad. It tasted like a $2 can of Clubtails. The food is okay.

This was truly an exceptional experience. All three dishes we tried were excellent. The red bean stew, Asa Wat, and the curry tofu. Plantains, Moroccan slaw and house ginger beer - fantastic. The food was so good we ordered dessert even though we were stuffed. Also, fantastic. The flavors were complex and not to be easily replicated. Highly recommend.

Food was really good but a bit overpriced for the area, the venue and the service. If it had slightly better prices, we think it could pull in many more clients! We got the oxtail and the short ribs but if you had to pick one, pick the short ribs!

Absolutely amazing menu and delicious food! I love that there are plenty of creative options for vegans and vegetarians, as well as meat-based dishes. Everything is so fresh and the ambience is wonderful as well. Don't miss this gem!

I had the Curry Q dish with a side of plantains. The food here is so filling and reminds me of my Caribbean routes. Everything tastes so fresh. The ginger beer was great for my digestion. I recommend this place and will bring people here in the future.

Extraordinary place. East & West African & Caribbean selections I crave and never would expect in U.S. I had a scrumptious plantain cocktail. Afro-Carib mixology? Brilliant!! I could go back and try something else every night of the week. And Chris & staff could not have been more warm and welcoming. Diversity of diners--black, brown, white--,a testament to multicultural success.
