My personal favorite chinese buffet in the capital region

Their Spicy Boiled fish is the BEST EVER! As a international student from China, I would say this dish is even better than what I had back home! If you can deal with fish bone comfortably, you got to try this out!

If you go here, don't eat the Chinese food but the Japanese and the sushi are really good. The Phoenix roll is AMAZING. I don't really have much else to say, it's a cute place. Decent atmosphere, friendly staff. I like it and THE PHOENIX ROLL!!!! Yum.

It is a way overpriced place with ok taste of food. The good part is its service compared to many similar restaurants. Unluckily, the big portion food with a high price reminds me of something called forced sale.

Japanese and Chinese restaurant on Route 7 in Latham. They seem to serve a lot of stuff including buffet. We only tried the Chinese dinner menu though. Their most well-known item is the two types of boiled fish which they serve in either a large (small serving) or humongous (large serving) bowls. They use whole fish instead of fillet unlike a lot of the other Chinese restaurants. The fish is very tasty, although there might not be as much meat as the size of the bowl would indicate. In addition, we also had the peppered salt prawns which were decent, the stir fried pepper which was good, and finally the beef on the sizzling pan which generated a lot of steam but didn't have much beef on it. Overall, I'd really give this place 3.5 stars, but I'll round up to 4.

Best Chinese cuisine in Capital region. Broiled Fish in Hot Spicy Soup is in big portion and it is so satisfying. Taro Rib, Spicy Chicken, and Oyster Mushroon with Scallop are very delicious as well. Service here was incredibly accommodating and warming. You won't see fake smile or rolling eyes like what you see in american restaurants.

Another case where a half star rating system would have gotten them a better rating. I would give 3.5 stars instead of 3, but really not worth 4. Xin Fu, is around the corner from where I work, so often it is a place to hit for lunch when I have forgotten to bring something, or am uninspired by what I brought. My co-worker and I hit them up on Monday because we were both unimpressed with our brought lunches. We have been here many times before, and always for their Chinese buffet as we are limited on the amount of time allowed away from our cube farm. Usually the buffet is pretty ransacked by the time we go, and their choices are limited to begin with, but on Monday we seemed to be the only ones there. Like most Chinese buffets, they have your typical faire, egg rolls, sweet and sour pork, general tsao's chicken, chicken with broccoli, beef with peppers and onions. black pepper chicken, lo mein., a seafood dish and a tofu dish, green beans, and I also believe that they serve rice, but I have never grabbed that. The food is normally pretty good, but on Monday we got to taste it at it's freshest. It was better than usual, there was enough to sample a little bit of everything, although I stuck to the lo mein, general tsao's chicken, and beef with peppers and onions. I did try the black pepper chicken and it wasn't as spicy as I feared, so I may get that again. All the flavors must have been working that day, because I went back for a second plate, something I normally do not do at lunch. The waitstaff are always friendly, and willing to get you more of anything they are low on even when they are at the end of their lunch rush. I have ordered items to go before as well, because unfortunately they do not offer a delivery service, but I have yet to try their sushi. I am usually pretty wary of places that don't specialize in Japanese cuisine that offer sushi, I know they offer a variety of asian cuisine, but I will save my sushi orders for Kuma Ani.

We ate there Sunday. Fast service. My wife got the beef pepper steak. Nice crisp veggies and the beef was perfectly cooked and tender. I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp. Great sized portion. Again perfect. Sauce was tasty. Nice and quiet. Only drawback was the soda tasted a little flat. Will definitely go back.

This is our favorite Chinese in the whole area. Xin Fu has almost no ambiance, but the food is consistently very well-prepared and inexpensive. The staff is friendly, and the food comes fast, even when the restaurant is busy. We eat here several times a month.

This is a small restaurant and service was quick but the building is poorly kept and the sushi was old and questionable.

We usually get General tso tofu, vegetable pad Thai, and an avocado salad and they're all great! And the workers are really nice!

The other dishes I have tried from Xin Fu have been quite good, but today I ordered vegetable chow mein and received a serving of plain vegetables and a prepackaged bag of dehydrated noodles. Very disappointing!
