Ellen (owner) adds her own home cooking touch to the menu with Mac salad, veggie salad, her own tuna salad and chicken salad subs. Her 1/2 subs are the size of a whole sub anywhere else. Best value in Alfred I think. I've been eating lunch here 2-3x/week and haven't had a bad meal yet. 4 stars only because of the limited menu, but she has no choice at the moment due to the pandemic reducing her customer demand.

I may have been hungry, but I ordered an Italian assorted and it was the best sub I have had in quite awhile. Very reasonably priced as well.
Consistently excellent subs and salads. Cleanest place in town, and one of the quietest. I dine in at this sub shop at least once a week at lunchtime, almost always when the owner is present. I very highly recommend it!

The subs are huge. I usually can only eat 1/2 in one sitting. Great soups and sides. Quick in/out. Perfect when you're in a hurry and need a quick meal.

Prices are extremely high, manager began yelling at new worker for not knowing what was on a specific sub while we were trying to peacefully eat, and lots of flies landing on food; very uncomfortable.
