Went here for a Saturday afternoon LUNCH with an co worker. Had great back ground music, not too loud, perfect volume. Ordered a variety of food, which was truly exceptional.
I ordered a burger, seasoned to perfection with caramelized onions and cheese, came with French fries; Which reminded me of McDonald fries. Yes ! they were just as good as the fries from McDonald’s.
I tired the cheesy grits with shrimp and the ceased salad. The food is great and I would come back to Bayview every weekend if I could.

Bayview Kitchen is a great place to enjoy a nice lunch during the afternoons. They play great music and the owners and chefs are extremely friendly and professional. The drinks are always made to perfection, as well as their meals. I recommend their Jerk Chicken Tostada and the Skit Steak eggs and home fries.

LOVE! We came for a Sunday breakfast and got a great one. The coffee was not “diner” tasting and that set the stage for the rest of breakfast also being really special. Service was kind and quick! The food was delicious. I had French toast, my husband had an omelette and our son had the chicken and waffle. We all ate everything on our plates and left full and happy. Love the art and music playing as well.

Terrible service, the worst I’ve experienced in a while. Took over 30 minutes to get a waiter to the table and to fill water glasses. Never got the drinks we ordered (just coffees) and the food was really nasty and oily. The eggs were cooked in the same oil as the grits, shrimp etc….. multiple people left before they even got service out of frustration and the table next to us never got their drinks either. They were also apparently having trouble with their credit card machine and asked people to Zelle them, very sketchy. Definitely do not go here.

One of the best hidden gems on Long Island. What it lacks in space, the service, food , flavor, and the music makes Bayview Kitchen one of my favorite spots on the south shore of LI. The staff have infectious personalities and always welcoming.
And get the rum punch or try the other cocktails.

Do not order online. They'll accept your order and then cancel your order. They won't give you the common courtesy of calling you directly for the inconvenience and it will take 3-5 business days for the refund. Very unprofessional.

Came in before 1pm staff said they were no longer serving breakfast, only went because breakfast was said to be until 3pm, won’t be back.

I found a place on Google. I was excited and upon arrival a bit disappointed the people are nice, but that’s all I got the fact that they ask you tapwater or bottled water is crazy work the fact that they choose their own tip at 18% is even crazier when this place is empty and the only personthat helped was the damn cook and he went and got a tip because the food wasn’t good. I just appreciate the culture and I will continue to support. Maybe stop in for a drink.

I wish a place could be 100/10 maybe even a 1000/10. We’ll let me tell you about the Brunch meal I had at the Bayview Kitchen. It was amazing!!! Cozy atmosphere made it feel like I was in someone’s home. But the flavors were big and could compete with any Manhattan restaurant. The drinks were amazing well made and delicious. One did the job no need for two. I had the Lamb and Sea from the Brunch menu and from the naked wings starter with the custom sauce let me know I was in for a good time. And I time was had because by the time my main course came I was ready to eat. The lamb was succulent and well seasoned and the meal well plated, portioned and cooked to perfection. So if you want a casual brunch option The Bayview Kitchen is it. I can’t wait to come back for the lunch menu. I have my eye on the Country wrap has me in a chokehold from the description. Don’t hesitate RUN to the Bayview Kitchen. Good eats!!!!!!

I really wanted to like this place. I was hyped to go.. but I have to be honest. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had dining out. The wait for the food alone was too much. My wife and I were promptly greeted and seated. Cool. The problems began right after.. first we waited over an hour before we got our food.
We ordered some wings for an appetizer; which were actually great despite the long wait. I ended up ordering the Stuffed Oreo French toast with eggs and bacon for the main.. key word “Stuffed” after close to an hour, one of the servers comes to us and says, “we don’t have the filling for the French toast, but we’ll put some garnish for you. It’s pretty much the same.” I said, ok sure since I already waited over an hour and I didn’t want to waste more time by picking something else. So after about another 20 minutes, she came out with 4 pieces of dry toast with a sprinkle of Oreo crumbles on top; no chocolate sauce/glaze or even syrup..
The eggs were overly salty and my wife ordered the Fried shrimp and grits; which were also super salty. We must’ve guzzled a liter of water between us while trying to eat the food. We stopped trying about halfway because of the salt.
The other issue was the atmosphere/music.. the place is somewhat small; which is perfectly fine, but they had a DJ present who was blasting the music sooo loud, which in a small environment, we couldn’t even hear each other talking. There was a large group of people celebrating a birthday, and they were egging the DJ on to play louder and louder; but I think it was inconsiderate to the other folks dining. You could tell the other diners were annoyed. A couple from the table behind us got up and left when the music got too loud and the staff did nothing to rectify the issue. The same birthday group then decided to get up and start dancing around this already small restaurant.. literally on top of the diners while we’re all trying to eat.. on a good note; the DJ was playing some good Soca music; but just way too loud and not considerate of the other people dining.
Like I said, I really wanted to like this place.. I wanted to support my fellow Caribbean folks, but I have to be honest, it was a poor experience 🤷🏾
