“Visiting my childhood home town from Boston. Childhood friend and I drove by Bayview Kitchen on our way home. Initially thought it was a kitchen reno store then realized it was a restaurant. Decided to try. Always up for adventure. What a WOW! Staff from entry to restraunt were warm and friendly. Love the decor sleek and so clean. Service was great. Now the important part..the food. We both had the j*** chicken tostada which was super delicious. Ingredients were so fresh.. Right amount of spice and ingredients with a nice kick. Got a chance to speak with owner and chef. They were so proud of their restaurant and looking to hear our thoughts on our meal. We told them it was extra special. They are looking to provide fresh quality soul food to the community and I would say they exceeded our expectations. Wishing them success and looking to return on my next visit to Amityville. The outside stone work decor is so beautiful. Thank you for a great food experience. Give this place a try I believe you will not be disappointed.”

“My brother and I were craving a real bagel so we set out to try finding a nice place and grab a half dozen. He remembered “ Poppy’s bagels”. The staff were very nice and attentive. It’s a nice cozy place and well cared for. Clean and we definitely will be new customers of theirs. The bagels were delicious and fresh, even stopping at 1:30 in the afternoon. I was very impressed. Great job and wish you great continued success in Amityville. See you guys soon. Thank you.”

“Love the family owned restaurant. A true culinary masterpiece. roppongi sushi has such fresh and tasty food. Top Japanese quality. Sushi chef Bendy makes every piece absolutely delicious. The sushi rice is perfectly balanced with the seafood. A true hidden gem.”

“For the appetizers, the stuffed peppers were absolutely delicious. The lobster bisque was a tad salty—a common pitfall, unfortunately—and while the quality of the steak was merely average, the chef certainly did their best with the ingredients at hand. The service, however, was excellent; in fact, it was our server who recommended the stuffed peppers. The peppers themselves had been cooked down, so they weren't particularly spicy; instead, they were filled with a flavorful mixture—possibly basil and orange zest—combined with slow-cooked diced beef and cheese. The mild heat perfectly complemented the aromatic cheese and juicy beef, making for a truly superb dish.”

“I stop in just to get a drink at a gas station, and there it was some of the best-looking food I have ever seen at a gas station. I looked left and right up and down the menu; I got the jerked Chicken Mac & Cheese and Collard greens. WOW the food was great some of the best Jerked chicken I have had, the mac & cheese was to die for and the greens where fresh and the flavor was outstanding. i may have to make the hour trip back to get some more. This is a must stop by place, Take it from a Fat Guy.”

I bought a chopped cheese toasted and French fries it was good. The closest you will get to authentic city chopped cheese like Harlem or Brooklyn. Living on long island it’s hard to find a Quality, chopped cheese. I will go to this location again I ordered in person . Give them a try great service. 5 stars”

but it was so good. Everything was made fresh on the spot, also ordered tacos that were good. I notice too the deli is so clean. I went back 2 more time for the same dish.”

The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are honestly hard to beat these days. You get great quality food without feeling like you’re being overcharged. They even have homemade ice cream, which is such a nice bonus!
