“Visiting my childhood home town from Boston. Childhood friend and I drove by Bayview Kitchen on our way home. Initially thought it was a kitchen reno store then realized it was a restaurant. Decided to try. Always up for adventure. What a WOW! Staff from entry to restraunt were warm and friendly. Love the decor sleek and so clean. Service was great. Now the important part..the food. We both had the j*** chicken tostada which was super delicious. Ingredients were so fresh.. Right amount of spice and ingredients with a nice kick. Got a chance to speak with owner and chef. They were so proud of their restaurant and looking to hear our thoughts on our meal. We told them it was extra special. They are looking to provide fresh quality soul food to the community and I would say they exceeded our expectations. Wishing them success and looking to return on my next visit to Amityville. The outside stone work decor is so beautiful. Thank you for a great food experience. Give this place a try I believe you will not be disappointed.”

“We were visiting Ventura for our Anniversary weekend. The last few times up here we stopped to look at the board outside of Casa Bella. We decided after speaking to one of the waiters we wouls try it. Service was great, the staff exceptional answering out questions on different menu items and the food was great! We liked it so much we went back the next night as well. Both nights we were given a brownie with ice cream to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered from the Happy Hour menu. We really wanted the 32 oz rib steak dinner but knew it would be way too much for the two of us. We will be going back on our next visit for sure.”

“We recently visited the area for six days and ate here four of those six days 😂(would’ve been all six had we found it earlier!) Amazing food, great people, and loved their fresh hibiscus tea! Cannot beat the $7.99 lunch price either! 🤩 Highly recommend!”

“My brother and I were craving a real bagel so we set out to try finding a nice place and grab a half dozen. He remembered “ Poppy’s bagels”. The staff were very nice and attentive. It’s a nice cozy place and well cared for. Clean and we definitely will be new customers of theirs. The bagels were delicious and fresh, even stopping at 1:30 in the afternoon. I was very impressed. “I stop in just to get a drink at a gas station, and there it was some of the best-looking food I have ever seen at a gas station. I looked left and right up and down the menu; I got the jerked Chicken Mac & Cheese and Collard greens. WOW the food was great some of the best Jerked chicken I have had, the mac & cheese was to die for and the greens where fresh and the flavor was outstanding. i may have to make the hour trip back to get some more. “We ordered a 5’ hero - half fried chicken cutlet with peppers and mozzarella and half with lettuce , tomato and cheese. We also ordered mild Buffalo wings. I have to tell you that the hero’s were delicious and the wings were some of the best I’ve had!! Christine was very sweet and responsive, and made the ordering process very easy. “Give this spot a try I had a good experience
I bought a chopped cheese toasted and French fries it was good. The closest you will get to authentic city chopped cheese like Harlem or Brooklyn. Living on long island it’s hard to find a Quality, chopped cheese. I will go to this location again I ordered in person . Give them a try great service. 5 stars”

“Took off one star for customer service. There were 3 girls ahead of us. And one attendant. The guy was obviously preparing the girls things and just kept staring at us. We stood there for a few minutes waiting for him to tell us give me a second or I'll be right with you or I'm busy give me a chance. But none of that. We stood there like idiots, until a coworker of his came out the back looking sweaty and like he hadn't slept in a few days and dried his wet hands on his pants and apron and asked in a rugged way what would you like? “This Jamaican spot never misses! I’ve been coming here more often lately, and every visit has been a great experience. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and happy to make recommendations or let you try something new if you’re unsure what to order.

The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are honestly hard to beat these days. You get great quality food without feeling like you’re being overcharged. They even have homemade ice cream, which is such a nice bonus!

What really keeps me coming back is the combination of great food, excellent service, and the warm, family-like atmosphere. If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican food with generous portions and friendly people, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. I’ll definitely be back!
