“Visiting my childhood home town from Boston. Childhood friend and I drove by Bayview Kitchen on our way home. Initially thought it was a kitchen reno store then realized it was a restaurant. Decided to try. Always up for adventure. What a WOW! Staff from entry to restraunt were warm and friendly. Love the decor sleek and so clean. Service was great. Now the important part..the food. We both had the j*** chicken tostada which was super delicious. Ingredients were so fresh.. Right amount of spice and ingredients with a nice kick. Got a chance to speak with owner and chef. They were so proud of their restaurant and looking to hear our thoughts on our meal. We told them it was extra special. They are looking to provide fresh quality soul food to the community and I would say they exceeded our expectations. Wishing them success and looking to return on my next visit to Amityville. The outside stone work decor is so beautiful. Thank you for a great food experience. Give this place a try I believe you will not be disappointed.”

“My brother and I were craving a real bagel so we set out to try finding a nice place and grab a half dozen. He remembered “ Poppy’s bagels”. The staff were very nice and attentive. It’s a nice cozy place and well cared for. Clean and we definitely will be new customers of theirs. The bagels were delicious and fresh, even stopping at 1:30 in the afternoon. I was very impressed. “We ordered a 5’ hero - half fried chicken cutlet with peppers and mozzarella and half with lettuce , tomato and cheese. We also ordered mild Buffalo wings. “For the appetizers, the stuffed peppers were absolutely delicious. The lobster bisque was a tad salty—a common pitfall, unfortunately—and while the quality of the steak was merely average, the chef certainly did their best with the ingredients at hand. The service, however, was excellent; in fact, it was our server who recommended the stuffed peppers. The peppers themselves had been cooked down, so they weren't particularly spicy; instead, they were filled with a flavorful mixture—possibly basil and orange zest—combined with slow-cooked diced beef and cheese. The mild heat perfectly complemented the aromatic cheese and juicy beef, making for a truly superb dish.”

Found this place because of a TikTok but I'm glad to say it lived up to the hype.

The drink selection is pretty good, lots of options. Dessert is great too. They have your staples, zeppoles and gelato. But also they had fried Oreos and slices of cake. Cheesecake, rainbow cookie cake and even red velvet. Amazing variety.

Definitely going to be making another trip here.”

I bought a chopped cheese toasted and French fries it was good. The closest you will get to authentic city chopped cheese like Harlem or Brooklyn. Living on long island it’s hard to find a Quality, chopped cheese. I will go to this location again I ordered in person . Give them a try great service. 5 stars”

“I've been going here for more than 14 years, they fed me throughout my pregnancy and my entire adulthood and adolescence lol. They have delicious food and their sons are kool and the dad (owner) is always on the grill cooking or overseeing everything. “The delivery service is awesome. Food is always hot and fresh. Clean Oil. French Fries Crisp. Nice Portions. Broccoli is awesome fresh and cooked to perfection. Beef is also very tender. Rice, no matter the choice is always non oily. Fabulous Rice. Egg Rolls are perfect size and packed full of flavor. Egg Foo Young patty and gravy are made to perfection. Never over burnt. Gravy very tasty and smooth.”

“This Jamaican spot never misses! I’ve been coming here more often lately, and every visit has been a great experience. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and happy to make recommendations or let you try something new if you’re unsure what to order.

The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are honestly hard to beat these days. You get great quality food without feeling like you’re being overcharged. They even have homemade ice cream, which is such a nice bonus!

What really keeps me coming back is the combination of great food, excellent service, and the warm, family-like atmosphere. If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican food with generous portions and friendly people, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. I’ll definitely be back!
