I have been coming here for years (2008) to get my spinach patties always served hot and fresh. Camille is always forthcoming and polite! She serves customers with warmth and diligence. She has a very good report with customers. Great place to go! Thanks Camille, for your five star service over all these years.

Please avoid this place at all cost . It’s the worst golden crust I have ever been to . They destroyed the franchise name . It is evident that the owner is cheap and refuses to invest in central air or other noticeably upgrades. The patties were stale, because the warmer that they are kept in was apparently not working . The man uses a fan to cool his establishment . My friend and I were drowning in sweat.I want to know how they are able to keep cooked food fresh to serve to the public. t Even the 2 workers were noticeably sweating and did not know how to respond to our complaints . This place does not deserve not even a star . The poor upkeep of this establishment speaks volumes about the character of the owner . I was soo appalled and embarrassed when I brought my friend from out of state there. . The only thing that was probably fresh there , were the cold beverages . Disgraceful !!! The place is not even close to be a true representation of the Jamaican culture . We take pride in whatever products we share/sell. Do better I am begging . Go back to the drawing board and revamp this place.

So I went there yesterday I asked for oxtail with rice and peas. The guy decided to give me nothing but bones then after he noticed, it was bones that kept complaining he went to the back to get more oxtail. The oxtail that he bought out were big pieces when I got home to eat the oxtail the oxtail was so hard and the crazy thing about it. This is not the first time that I noticed that it was hard, I had a friend to go there and they said the oxtail was either overcooked or not cooked enough because it was so hard. This restaurant is terrible.

I don’t usually write unfavorable reviews, as I’m usually of the view that if you have nothing good to say, shut your mouth. However, I have to say this time. The curry goat that I received, has got to be the worst tasting food that I’ve had for a long time. The curry was bitter, and the flavor was undefinable. I took one small bite of it, and wrapped it up, lock stock and barrel, and threw it in the garbage. I don’t know if it were an “off” day, but I don’t know what would convince me to go back!

In the area and feining for some yardie cooking, I almost drove past the location as the outside of the restaurant looks so desolate, if the door was not open I would have thought I just spent the last 17 minutes on a wasted trip. I decided to at least go in , not bad at all, could have been better but still looks better than the outside, so I decided to order something.

I was served with a smile by Camille, who at first came across as a little too familiar, in the end it was her way of saying welcome.

The food was the worst I had in a minute, considering I'm living in the boroughs of the city and I am a Yardies so I am VERY PROFICIENT in my evaluation. The patties was partially baked you can still taste the dough for my $5+, I asked along side, jerk chicken with oxtail gravy, the chicken was and smelled raw (unseasoned) and the rice was drowning in oil.

Simple put....if this is how you represent your culture CLOSE THE PLACE DOWN! put passion and pride into the franchise and the business while telling others the story of your culture through food.

I wasted my time, my money and now I'm urged to review the establishment inorder for you all to do better .

I usually go out of my way to get golden krust , but today I worked close to this one and ordered a large goat curry. I wasn’t even asked what sides or rice I wanted. I let that slide since I was excited for their goat curry (which is one of my favorite curries btw from the chain). Oh boy was I disappointed… the curry looked like it was couple of days old and didn’t have the flavor it usually have. It lacked the spices that I usually love when ordering the goat curry from golden krust. Appearance wise it looked like a vomit thrown on a plate of rice. I’m just very disappointed because I am super upset and about to throw it out after eating one bite when usually I eat happily eat the dish in less than ten minutes. I never post negative reviews and give food places a benefit of a doubt but this one was pretty bad. I’m really upset I spent 20 dollars for something that taste disgusting and inedible. Also idk how this dish came out to be over 20 when the board advertise it for 16.99. .

I was very disappointed the last time I visited this establishment. Not only that the bun prices went up there's a service charge (not related to the use of a credit/debit card) that is on your receipt that's not posted or explained to the customer. Golden Krust in Amityville, NY please be considerate of your Customers & stop exploiting us financially. Shame on you!

I ordered 2 easter buns and the flavor is spice bun. The jerk chicken was horrible and the rice was all drenched in gravy. My 100+ dollars went down the drain. I will not purchase anything again. Why change the formula of the easter bun when you have competitors. SHAME ON YOU!!! Specific location is in Amityville ny.

Horrible food. I can't believe this place is still open. Chicken was dry, patties were old, and cooco bread was rock hard.

It's Golden Crust, you get a beef patty and some of that goat with all the rice and beans, ah so good.

I went there for the first time and was disappointed. Its bad enough the place itself looks terrible but the service was terrible too. They need more staff for lunch service. Having only one person do everything is ridiculous.. The lady at the register had an attitude and was helping the customers who were her regulars, even though they showed up after me. I was so mad I wanted to walk out and forget my order. I won't be going back.
