What an awesome restaurant! Have been dying to try the new Mesita in Amityville. The decor is so beautiful inside, love the high ceilings and lighting. Went for a special birthday dinner and had a wonderful time. The food, margarita flight and service were all outstanding! Such a fun atmosphere, perfect for a romantic dinner or girls night out. Cannot wait to go back.

Food was great. Service was great and the decor and ambiance is very cool. Bear in mind it is busy and a little loud. Sat upstairs which was a great experience. A little away from the noise of the bar.

I’m not from NY came and ate here for brunch and the service was horrible, the food was alright nothing special but our server was not attentive what so ever.. we had 5 people in our party and had the top automatically added, when i asked whats considered a large party, our server said 5 or more people.. mind you half of our party only got drinks. I asked for things multiple times and never got it will never be going back

I have a gluten allergy and I went to mesita the staff did not know much about gluten free most Mexican restaurants have lots of gluten free options waitress said they have nothing label gluten free. The rice was not good food was ok but I have lots of pain feel sick. I would recommend anyone with celiac disease dont go to this place. I wont be going back restaurant is expensive dont even have separate bathrooms co Ed. And for a Mexican restaurant which usually have plenty of gluten free options this place did not and waitress couldn't even say what anything they had on menu is gluten her response I think corn tortillas is gluten free I felt very nervous and now I know why I feel sick have pain and wont be going back.

I decided to give this place a 2nd chance. The building and atmosphere are great. The hostesses are awesome. I paid the bill for myself and 3 other guests. I didn't want to complain to the waitress because I wanted to keep the mood positive. Literally, my whole meal was not good. I ordered an $18 margarita which was not good. You either know how to make a good margarita or not. Next the guacamole was basically tasteless. It was fresh, but just missing the right ingredients. We ordered the medium because the waitress said the spicy is crazy hot. I make guacamole and order it out pretty often so I can make a fair judgement. The chips not great either. Then I get my chicken enchilades....again not good. It was so disappointing. Food presentation was good, just didn't taste good.

Been here 3 times. Solid service and food. Only thing I would recommend is making your reservation 30 minutes before you actually want to sit down. I was told by the manager that just because your reservation is at a certain time. It doesn't mean you will be seated at that time. First time hearing that.

Food was amazing. Atmosphere was really cool. This place is so big so it never felt super noisy even though it was full. Staff members were amazing and super attentive. Will be back again soon!

Came here on the 15th. The hostess was super sweet when she greeted us. When we got sat the table next to us got sat a few minutes later. Their server greeted them, took their app and drink order and had the appetizer brought to their table all before our server Carolyn even greeted us. Once we finally got our food we were not impressed. The street corn just tasted overly smoky and not seasoned well, the yucca fries were not cooked through fully. When we got our entrees we noticed our enchiladas were chicken and not the shrimp we ordered. We asked the host if she could grab the manager or our server, and the server from the next table came up to us and fixed the mistake. I wish we got her name because she was a sweetheart and checked up on us the rest of the time we were there. The food wasn't the greatest but I did not want to complain anymore. I don't think the meal was worth $100 so I am thankful we were given a gift card for Christmas which covered half of the meal. Overall I do not think I will be returning here again, which sucks because I was really hoping I liked this place.

Been wanting to try Mesita and we chose Valentine's Day for our first time. We went with another couple and sat in a comfy curved booth in the center of the restaurant. It's a beautiful restaurant inside. The atmosphere was energetic but not too loud. Perfect for what we were looking for. The food did not disappoint either. We had freshly made guacamole as an app. We also had the slow roasted pork and a burrito bowl. Food was outstanding. Sangria was delicious and the churro dessert was to die for. The service was excellent as well. Can't say enough good things about this place. We'll definitely be back sooner than later.

Fabulous décor feels very authentic in Mexican style. Great dishes, moderate noise. But you could still hear when you speak to each other. And just overall very nice ambiance

We were seated upstairs next to a birthday party and the women were all drunk and dancing and constantly bumping into the back of my son. They had plenty of room in another spot to move over and didn't. We asked staff numerous times to ask them to be more considerate and although the staff did ask them, nothing changed and nothing was done about it.

The food was great, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Tanya was our server and she was great. We spoke with the Manager as well about the decorations and he was very friendly. Can't wait to go again and try something different.
