The Beach Club At Mickey Rats

This should be in Wyoming and serve some cheese. Other than that, great! Mickey Rat himself saw me and he signed my Mickey Rat brand stanley cup! I can't wait to check out Beatboxing Mario's next. I really liked Mickey Rat's Beach Club!

Great place to have a drink and view the lake. We even had a chance to see two people riding horses on the sand and swimming in the water!
Our visit was on a Sunday afternoon and the patrons include people of all ages...which was pleasant as the vibe was not like a popular bar for Saturday evening pick ups and entitled demonstrations of beauty. Just a wonderful experience at a beach with a beverage.

Always a great place to get a drink and watch a sunset and listen to some live music

The only good thing about it is the fact it is located in the beachfront. Drinks are expensive, are wasted if not vommitting or sleeping off a heavy day of on the beach..
You pay for parking even when you have no intentions of the restaurants, bars, bathrooms, etc.

Parking: Pay parking even if your destination is a boat already in the water.

Went there for the first time today. They said they were dog friendly, so I took my 3 very well behaved dogs to the bar & beach. Planned on spending quite a bit of $$ at Mickey Rat's. After my first round, my 3 dogs & I went off the hot sand back to the bar to order another beer, where I was met with a "regular" patron who told me "please keep your dogs away from me. I am allergic.". Fine....EXCEPT my dogs never came within 6' of this guy and we were ALL OUTSIDE. The bartender never said anything about the rules of the bar to the patron, and I left after some "kind" words to the dude protesting. I was a bartender for over 10 yrs. The rules of the bar are the rules of the bar. The afternoon bartender should've never allowed this interaction to take place...and I will never go to Mickey Rat's again. You've lost business now. I have many friends. I hope your "regular patron" can drink as much as we do in the next few years. Btw, your bathrooms are dirtier than a highway rest stop. No excuse for that when your charging $10 to park in your parking lot.

Edit: Went to Turtle Joe's and it was much better... And right next door. Skip the rat and get with the turtle.

Great beach, but the boats are out of hand. They crowd out the swimmers. If you come to get in the water, you're relegated to knee deep. Half of them keep the props on as they push the swimmers out. There needs to be a roped off area for swimmers. Came to swim with the family and it's a party zone for boaters. To each his own, I just wish there was room for both.

The homemade pizza rolls are to die for. Just an outstanding place

Wheelchair accessibility: The parking lot is stone. Tough out there but once inside, it was wide open and easy.

Worst place to play volleyball. The sand is never raked, I’ve gotten multiple injuries from playing here. Playing in the league you don’t even get a ball, the refs don’t call any plays correctly. Would not recommend.
