Best seafood market for miles and miles and miles despite very limited offerings. Delicious tuna, shrimp, scallops are as good as it gets. Not sure of its status as restaurant these days, never had a cooked meal there (only been going since 2020) but I’m sure he knows what he’s doing if you do happen to go when it’s open. Hidden gem!

Apple Maps and Yelp say this place is open until 11 PM, Google Maps says it is open until 7 PM. Either way, you would expect someone to answer the phone at 6 PM but apparently not. The voicemail makes absolutely no mention of what time they close, although they thoughtfully let you know what time they open. The food could be the best on the planet but I guess I'll never know.

This place says there open until 9p.m but the past 2 times I have tried to go there the place was closed before 8p.m. should just say open when we want to be on Google and there front door. Won't bother trying anymore.

Best seafood in the area, period. I refuse to order fish elsewhere. Bruce is the hilarious, angry uncle I always wanted: he doesn't mince words, gets right to the point, and makes the best damn seafood in the entire Catskills. Plus, his dog is adorable and getting to see him at the market always makes my day. This place is truly a gem in every sense - from the absurd decor, homemade signs, and the absolutely divine seafood that isn't afraid of too much garlic. 10/10.

Don't let the exterior fool you. The seafood is great, friendly service but remember to bring your own wine. We try and come here whenever we are in the area. Highly recommend for good seafood food in a casual atmosphere

We were hesitant at first but my father remembered eating "the best lobster sandwich he ever had" here 20 years ago. We were seated after a quick run to the liquor store up the road. Bruce made us feel right at home and the food was amazing. We will definitely be coming back.

One of the most unique and unsuspectingly delicious seafood meals I've had in my life! My dinner buddy and I shared steamed clams and each got our own 1 1/2 lobster with a side of mashed potatoes. The seafood was so so fresh and the service knocked the whole experience out of the park. Jessica (our waitress) and Bruce (the chef/ seafood cook) made us feel like we were eating in an extended family's home. They were so funny and welcoming, solidifying that we will DEFINITELY be returning the next time we're in the Catskills. This place is a gem.

Excellent food and excellent service. If I could get more than five stars I would. If I could give an A+ I would. This is the type of place I love to go too. I love places that are indigenous to the area and I love places that are family owned and family run. This is the classic restaurant I would love to go to and the food was excellent. The service was great as well. If I wanted to go to a restaurant this is the ideal restaurant that I would love to go to as many times as I can.

We regularly buy wonderful fresh seafood at The Maine Black Bear so we finally made a reservation for dinner. Every thing was prepared and served nicely and the food was delicious. Lobster scampi! Who knew? I highly recommend. We will go back soon.
