Awesome dinner! We took Lauren’s recommendation to get the jambalaya and the crab linguine- we loved both! Great portion sizes and service. Lauren described the dishes in such a thoughtful way. We will absolutely be back.

This place was absolutely phenomenal. Everything from the cocktails, appetizers, entrees, dessert, service and atmosphere were top tier. We will definitely be returning customers.

Place was okay brought couple individuals there from my agency to have dinner at the end of dinner when paying the bill I gave them a tax - exempt form waitress came back saying that her supervisor does not do tax- exempt form and they will just give us a discount off the bill which they did but then charge the bill back with the discount that they claim they were taking off. She also stated that resturant around here don’t do tax- exempt forms which is not true, all the restaurants do tax exempt form that we been to. They need to know how accommodate individuals with disabilities from agencies better.
Food, drinks, and service are all 10/10.

Was so excited to try this place based on the good reviews and pictures. We had a reservation and the restaurant was not busy. However it took 20 min to place our order and 25 minutes to get a non alcoholic cocktail. From there things went downhill. Our first food item didn’t arrive until 50 minutes after we had sat down. The crab cakes appetizer were cold and dry. Okra fries were the star as they were the only hot item we received hot. The Caesar was a soggy mess with frozen stale cubes of cornbread. The linguini and crab entree was cold with cold crab, undercooked pasta and 2-3 pieces of dry chorizo—looked nothing like the pictures posted in the reviews. Such a disappointment that I’m not sure I can give it another try.

This place was such an amazing experience. I haven't been to the area in a while and I have to say…this might be my favorite place in Poughkeepsie. From the drinks, to the vibe, to the food. Everything was top notch. I had trouble choosing what to get because everything looked so good. I ended up with the jambalaya and it was soooo good. I’m gonna have just come back a couple more times.

Just tried this gem of a restaurant last night and already planning on coming back soon! The interior is adorable, small and intimate inside with outdoor seating as well on their back patio. My son loved their Coca Cola which I think they said was boiled. Sounded different to me but he said it was better than normal! Cocktails were delicious and strong! Definitely recommend the Hurricane . We had the poutine fries with fried oysters as an appetizer and it was delish! I had the jambalaya (AMAZING), my son had the ribs which he happily devoured and my husband had the braised beef and grits which be said was delicious as well. Don’t leave without beignets for dessert!

Very cute space. A friend and I sat at the bar and had a few drinks. Our bartender was very attentive which I appreciate. We didn’t get any food but it smelled really good in there. I’d definitely come back!

Had a late lunch/ early dinner here yesterday, sat with my husband and daughter on the patio just slowly ordering small plates and drinks over a few hours. The drinks and food were both incredible! Especially loved the okra fries and fried oysters, we ended up ordering 2 of the oysters they were so good! I’m so happy to know there’s a place with legit cocktails and great food so close to home. Will definitely be back soon!

I’m the mother-in-law who ordered the martini—which was quite good. I fully support Marc’s review. When I brought our concerns to management, I was met with attitude and defensiveness. The manager challenged our expectations, asking how long we thought food should take on a busy night. We said 30–40 minutes, but he disagreed and showed no interest in constructive feedback. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

We were really looking forward to trying Barbue, but unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. The service was incredibly slow—it took over an hour just to receive our food. While my mother-in-law enjoyed her martini (long wait as well), that was about the only highlight of the evening.
My wife ordered the duck, which came out in a very small portion and was on the chewy side. I had a salad with pulled pork. The pork was average at best, and despite specifically requesting no cheese, it arrived with cheese on it anyway. Mistakes like that show a lack of attention to detail.
The atmosphere didn’t help either. If you're seated in the front, be prepared for a loud dining experience—it's right next to Route 44, a busy and noisy road that makes it hard to relax or enjoy a conversation.
Overall, the poor service and lackluster food suggest this place is poorly managed. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning and would not recommend it to others looking for a quality dining experience.

My dinner partner, a fried chicken connoisseur from NYC drove up to visit. We chose Barbue for dinner and WOW! So glad we did. Our meals were nothing short of superb. He had fried chicken and said it was the best he's had; I had shrimp n grits. Real stone ground grits with a wonderfully spicy sauce. Great drinks made by Nina, bartender extraordinaire. Can't say enough about the lovely Lauren, our hostess/server . Warm greeting, great service with a bright smile. It was a tri-fecta win.
