My wife and I were long time customers of Kira, ordering take out at least twice a week. Our recent order of November 9th consisted of sushi that was either not fresh or frozen. It had a foul aftertaste and had a strange color. As long time patrons I called the restaurant not to complain but to make the owners aware. I was referred to a person who identified herself as the manager. She became belligerant, questioning the validity of my statements. She said she wanted to come to our house to view the fish and then insisted that we take photos of the order. After much discussion, she said that she would issue a refund to our credit card. To add insult to injury, her promise of a refund never was processed. Truly unfortunate as the restaurant lost a long time loyal customer. Beware.

Perhaps a result of underestimating the traffic on a Monday, but the service, while friendly was extremely poor. After being seated we were immediately asked to order drinks. We selected an expensive ($28) bottle of 300 ml sake and asked for an order of edamame while we perused the menu. The edamame showed up quickly but the sake artived 15 minutes later after the first bottle of sake was finished. The whole branzino, which was the reason we selected Kira was unavailable. We ordered chicken yakisoba, shredded duck and two soecial rolls. The rolls were fine and well-presented, the duck was an overpriced Chinese stir fy and the "yakisoba," which was made with green noodles that were not soba was overcooked, mushy and tasteless. We told the server what we felt and received an apology, but no offer to replace it with another dish or any comp of that dish, dessert or anything else to recover our custom. Overall, a disappointing experience.

We ordered Yakisoba and the noodle is not the right one. It was green, mushy without any favor. The unavailable fish dish was not removed from the menu. The service was so slow and inconsistent. It was just overall disappointing.

I swear by the lunch special. I have been going to Kira Sushi for many many years and the lunch special has been a go to. 2 or 3 rolls with miso soup and in this case edamame. The lunch special at Kira Sushi has a special place in my heart. I also did a charity event years ago and Kira was nice enough to donate a tray of sushi. A nice place. Thank you!

I had ordered the same thing many times. this time i threw it all out. all was mushy and lacking any fresh flavor. tuna cut was bad with inedible parts. like they froze multiple times and chose bad cheap cuts for tuna. unacceptable and inedible. chef change?Sushi & Sashimi Combo For Two
