Food was ok, but some of food is just basic stuff with different names to make it sound unique but it's not😅 The mini cachapas are overpriced, should be half the price for how little you get. Some of the other prices seemed ok but mini cachapas aren't worth $10. Atmosphere was too casual, felt like I walked into someone's living room. Overall was ok but it seemed better in the pictures

Probably the best brunch I’ve had in Astoria so far. My bf and I LOVE food, and this is GOOD FOOD. Omg, I’ve been dreaming about the cachapa since I had the first bite.
I came in cold and hungry and the waitstaff were totally attentive and got my food almost instantly. This place gets extra points for its longevity over the years. I'd recommend all the arepas and the passionfruit drink. My only thing is that the music is a bit loud for my taste, but once the stomach is full and satisfied, it matters less.

This is my third time coming here, the food it’s amazing always , but the service unfortunately I can’t say the same ! For the third time and last one for me , the same waitress helped me , She dumps the sauces , the plates with the appetizers , the food it self and doesn’t explain anything , she looks mad and barely even speaks, I asked questions and she doesn’t understand English. The worst part, she disappears and never even comes back to check on anyone . I had to get up and ask for things all the time to see her on her phone behind the bar, Seriously???. 2 times out of 3 the restaurant wasn’t even crowded . But it’s the same attitude all the time from her. She needs some serious training ! I won’t ever come back if I see her , or will request another waitress . Your food it’s amazing don’t get me wrong , but because of people like her , it makes good customer like us never to come back.
Arepas Cafe was fantastic. From the Cafe con Leche which was the best coffee I’ve had from a restaurant, to the passion fruit drink to the chicken empanadas which were so fresh. Everything is homemade so the dough was so soft and wasn’t greasy. The woman behind the counter was kind and explained everything so well. No brainer, easily 5 stars.

I ordered an arepa for pickup and it was fresh and tasted great. It was ready quickly and the staff was friendly. I was concerned just one arepa might not be enough, but it was very filling. They really don’t skimp on the filling so it’s pretty good for the price. Would definitely eat here again!

Service is extremely friendly, feels like a neighborhood spot. Owners are super nice and personable. Music is fun. If you’re hispanic you’ll probably love it here. 🇻🇪 Try the passion fruit mimosa on a Saturday morning with an empty stomach because my goodness, you WILL be full. 🤩 Fair prices too. We left fat and happy.
