I ordered Kabuli polau, took so long. Wasn’t that tasty, I think the food was pre cooked, whatever the guy in the front wasn’t that welcoming, watching reels lol. The food was for 11.99 and I ordered one bottle of water which price was 2 bucks, I don’t really know how come the price end up being 19.28 usd. Overall not that good but ok to feed your body.

Stopped by Aria Kabab on a Tuesday around 5:45 pm and ordered combo #9, which we often get when we're in the area. After placing the order, my wife and I decided to take a walk nearby, but then the older man working there called us back, saying their card machine wasn't working that day and they were only accepting cash. No problem, we asked for the total and added a slice of cake to the order. Another guy in the back told us it would be $20.
We went back to the car to grab cash my wife had in her bag. When we returned, we added a drink for $2.99, and suddenly the total became $24.94. The guy up front then asked for $25, including tax.
It felt shady, like they were trying to squeeze out extra for tax, and I suspect the card machine was probably working fine. It's the principle that bothers me… just because we came back with enough cash doesn't mean you get to change the price from what was originally quoted. Also my wife in the past was upcharged by the same person where the menu had less and he verbally said price increased and charged her extra.
Won't be returning because of this. Also noticed they didn’t even include any sauce with the food.

This establishment has been here in the heart of Steinway for many years. If you’re craving Afghani dishes you’re at the right place. The dishes we ordered were seasoned to perfection! You can’t forget the condiments like the famous white sauce and green sauce. The sauces pack a punch to make the food taste even as good as it already is. The owner is a great person. He may seem standoffish, but he is truly a down to earth man who is trying to make his food fill you up. I been to other Afghani restaurants, and I have to say this one is 100/10! Check it out!

I had a terrible experience when my girlfriend went into the restaurant with a few of her friends to hang out. They decided what they wanted to order, and then a worker started hitting on my girlfriend, telling her how attractive she is, even though she's only 16 and the worker is 28. It was absolutely disgusting. The worker then proceeded to make her feel uncomfortable and upset by making offensive comments about my race as an Ecuadorian and assuming that, because I'm Hispanic, I must be cheating on my girlfriend. It was a completely unacceptable and infuriating situation. I have all the audio recorded and highly recommended people who are planning to eat here to look somewhere else!

Had to change my review because of their recent service.. its becoming worse day by day... few weeks ago i ordered something for pickup through grubhub and it said its ready. When i went there, the food was not ready. I had to wait for the food while my car was double parked outside. Yesterday i got food from them again and i found a small metal piece in my food. They need to be very careful about the service . If this keeps on going, an accident will happen and they will get sued..

I ordered in Grubhub and they messed up the cheese burger order for my son. I called them to notify but the person was very rude and didn’t let me speak so I stopped him and spoke then he was worst. He said I didn’t instruct properly. I wrote “little” and kept on insisting that I wrote “lettuce”. I was reading my instructions to him from the grubhub order detail and he kept arguing and being rude. When I told him I’m right and another person from his side told him that it’s actually little then he said just remove the shredded lettuce and I told him it’s for a very picky child if it was a grown up we would manage but children are hard to manage in case of food and I also told him not to be rude with customers then he said “ well if you can stop me from speaking then I can be rude too “ this is how their customer service is. I’m pretty shocked for a man to be so disrespectful.
