An hour after my food arrived this older employee screamed at me for stealing someone else’s order in front of everyone.
“Because of you, another customer had to wait an hour for their hot dog!”
If you messed up an order, why yell at me? She left after she got tired out or something.
What did you want me to do? YOU brought over the wrong (and nearly identical) order.

A great beer hall with a selection of classic food. We love coming here, it’s one of the best places to drink in Astoria. It gets a little hot and crowded in summer, but it’s a delightful visit. When the tap lines are freshly cleaned, they can also put some exceptional beers out - they are one of the few spots with Czechvar in the city. If you have a sporting event you wanna watch or you just wanna hang out with friends, it’s a good shout!

today 5/18/2025, I got there for the jazz band but I could enjoy because all the kids runing around throwing rocks and the parents just stand there and dont do nothing. most of the kids are not supervise I understand that everyone wants to relax. but we all do too.

Staff is pretty rude and the food quality has become a lot worse over the years. This place is fortunate they have a large space and a good location.
I love the idea of the beer hall, and the food and service are tons better under the new management. That said, the music is waaaaay too loud. I want to be able to sit in the sun and talk with my friends all day, not scream at each other over a blasting speaker.
