The bartender forgot 2 of my orders including an entire dinner which didn’t come until we asked the older gentleman to bring it. The portions were that of a 5 year old for each person. The rigatoni Alfredo had about 10 pieces of pasta in it which was as very disappointing. Will NOT come

You would be hard pressed to find a better atmosphere, more delicious pasta, or a more well crafted cocktail anywhere else in Astoria. Combine that with the outstanding service everyone there provides, and you have yourself a hidden gem in Botte Bar. One of my wife and I favorite restaurants and one we come back to again and again. Now that they are opening a location on Ditmars even closer to us, we will most definitely be enjoying the intimate atmosphere even more frequently! We hope you will too!

We live in the neighborhood and had been meaning to try this place and unfortunately were disappointed. We sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly. He was from a different location just helping out for the night but was so nice. However, they were out of prosciutto which my boyfriend really wanted, the pasta 100% was not homemade (which is fine but don’t advertise that), my sparkling rose was flat (as was my boyfriends aperol spritz), the chocolate cake was cold on the middle, and the restaurant smelled kind of gross I couldn’t put my finger on it.The atmosphere was really nice other than the smell.

Small cute spot with good ambiance. Sat at the bar and service was great as were the cocktails. Meatball appetizer was very good, our pasta dishes were good but not amazing, have definitely had better. At least the pasta was Al dente!

I've been here multiple times and had a good experience, so I don't know what happened tonight.I didn't make a reservation but plenty of slots were open on Resy. We (2) were told we could only be sat at the bar. There were 2 seats, but the folks on either side were not asked to move their coats off the chairs so we could sit. We ordered drinks and waited until a few parties left, at which point we asked if we could move to a table. Again, we were told no.  Finally, another party left the bar and we tried to move to their space and were told that it was being given to the group who just walked in the door. That's 3 strikes and we're out. It costs nothing to be nice but it costs 4 stars and a tip to be unreasonably rude and unaccommodating. A different Italian restaurant was much happier to serve us tonight.UPDATE:Well folks, just as we suspected. Management is just as rude as the servers. I clearly meant OpenTable, but I don't need to explain that to the manager who didn't proofread their response. Check your records, I made a reservation for 7:30 while sitting at the bar, to prove a point. It was not worth fighting for last night and I certainly have no reason to come back.

Tight restaurant with minimal seating. Food was subpar at best and the portions were very small for the price. Lasagna didn't hold shape and looked like it was just thrown on the plate with two layers of noodles. Temp was lukewarm. The chicken parmigiana was heavy on the egg in the crust and the sauce looked like it came directly from the can and straight into the microwave. The service was good, but because of the tight seating we were sat by the bathroom and the stairwell to the basement kitchen.

Nice atmosphere, friends enjoyed their pasta. Unfortunately the pizza I got was an awful, soggy mess (I honestly didn't realize pizza could be that bad). I threw out the majority after getting home.

I don’t usually write reviews but this was the worst experience I’ve had with food. We ordered this place for delivery and ahe Alfredo came with 0 sauce and questionably smelly chicken. I couldn’t bring myself to even try the chicken it smelled so bad. The cacio Pepe had pieces of plastic in it and mold as

Ordered delivery. Came late. Never ordering from this place again. The portions are a rip-off. It’s way over priced. There are much better options in Astoria for the cost. And better taste as well. Adding photos of how outrageous it was. A To-go bowl of pasta that cost $30 and our garlic bread that was $8. Both were a joke.

I loved our lunch experience at Botte bar. Davide provided excellent service and we had real authentic Italian taste. My husband and I shared mussels in light tomato sauce for appetizer. we both ordered glass of Botte wine which paired up very nicely with the appetizer as well as out main menu: spaghettis de carbonara and Bisteca. We enjoyed our time at the restaurant and planning to come back in near future.

Came here on a Thursday night on a date. Food was great! Started with the Suppli which is similar to an arancini, it was crispy and tasty. I ordered the chicken parmigiana which was great. Tons of cheese and the fillet was thin and crispy (not to mention large) Not served with a ton of pasta, which I like and the sauce was flavorful. I also really enjoyed the blood orange Negroni. Prices were fairly reasonable (aside from their $18 seasonal drinks) ~20-25 per pasta dish. Came out to around $120 for appetizer, two mains and two drinks each. I wanted to try the tiramisu dessert, but I was informed it wasn’t available.

I am utterly disappointed for many reasons after ordering delivery from Botte Bar on Grubhub. First, the portion sizes were tiny when taking into account the prices ($20 for Amatriciana pasta, $14 for a Caesar salad, and $8 for garlic bread with marinara. This doesn’t take into account the Grubhub fees either.) These prices are outrageous for the amount of food that was provided - there was barely any pasta in my dish and the Caesar salad was a joke. Second, the quality was terrible. I have to say this is some of the worst Italian food I’ve ever had. I ended up throwing half of it away. I’ve ordered Amatriciana pasta many times and the sauce tasted bland and off, almost likely what you’d expect the cheapest can of tomato sauce at the grocery store to taste like. (Almost Chef Boyardee-esque.) There was barely any guanciale in it. The Caesar salad didn’t even have full romaine or other greens but was just a heap of cheap chopped lettuce, almost like what you would get on a Taco Bell Taco. The garlic bread was burnt and barely able to be eaten. This has been such a disappointment and a ripoff. I see there are other reviews that are good, so maybe it was just an off night for them, but I will not be patronizing this place ever again. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for quality Italian food that is more affordable.
