Cakes by Nerwan saved my sister's birthday! My little sister is in a residency program and does not get much time off to visit family back home. She called me feeling a bit homesick and told me she was sad that no one had thought to get her a birthday cake. Cakes by Nerwan to the rescue! Not only did Nerwan personally help me order a dozen delicious cupcakes to surprise her, they hand wrote a note from me to include in the delivery. They even threw in some extra goodies as a little gift from them. And they got it all ready and delivered just in time for her birthday suprise to be waiting for her when she got home from work that same day. Incredible customer service and delicious cupcakes! This bakery helped me be there for my sister when I couldn't be there in person. Thank you, Cakes by Nerwan!

Came here yesterday for the first time I bought 6 cupcakes of different flavors. The cake part was absolutely delicious. It was moist, flavorful; a 10 out of 10… but the frosting was absolutely disgusting. It was hard, kinda crunchy? and not sweet whatsoever. 24 hours later. I’m still thinking about the frosting, the frosting needs a lot of work. For all 6 cupcakes I scraped off the frosting which is a shame because the cupcakes were $4 to 5 dollars each. I spent $30 in total to just eat a small plain cupcake.

What a great find I found simply by using Google! I reached out to the cake shop and they got back to me with an invoice for a cake I needed ASAP. And printed a picture of my friend for her bday. all under a 24 hour timeline which is what I needed. The cake was also DELICIOUS. Timeliness, and easy to pick up. Exactly how all cake shops should be. I wish there was a cakes by nerwan in DC where I am locally.

Best bakery in Astoria! Their bakes are out of this world! I love how every week there are new flavors & different cakes to try. I recently tried their Lebanese spinach pies they were delicious. The place is VERY clean and they are very friendly. Highly recommend!!!!!

They had about 20 cupcakes to choose from, rose, nutella, lemon coconut, fudge sundae, vegan lemon, samoa,, dulce de leche to name a few. I'll be back for the rose They have two tables and a few bar stools. Also, coffee/tea/espresso.
