High expectations, but not impressed with this visit. Wednesday early dinner , 7/23/25, 5pm.
No issue with availability and service, very attentive.
Chicken dish with sauce ok, but asparagus flimsy and green bean sized while mashed potatoes served ice cream scoop and lacking in flavor.
Long awaited favorite of mine, fish and chips.
Fish better than most in area, still lacking in wow factor while the (chips) were a flimsy mess , no crisp or seasoning.
As to beer, Stella was fine but Blue Moon dark and flat.
Better luck next time.

My reaction to their food was simply: just wow. I prefer cooking that respects simple ingredients. I also found my dishes to be very tasty. This place offers remarkable assistance. Even with many dining options, I suggest this place.

Very very good food! Our first time here after having heard about it for forever. Good wings, but my partner's shepherd's pie (although made with beef) was the winner, perfectly spiced and delicious. My Jameson chicken was very good as well. Enormous portions and we each brought a large amount home. Best soda bread I've had outside Ireland.
Very friendly attentive service. It was a little hard to hear due to all the hard reflective surfaces and music playing and cheerful people talking, but this was a great place. We'll be back, and are especially interested in the Sunday roast.
Update: back for shepherd's pie and a salad - splitting everything bc the portions were huge. Great food and friendly service.
This place is great. The food is great. The service is great. The bar itself is great. Lots of TVs. Very good quality food for a very good price. Thumbs up. Try it! It's in Astoria
This is your old school local Irish bar. The owner Mike is a gentleman and the staff is just amazing. Dave the guy behind the stick is the best barman you will ever find. If your lucky you will get a card trick from him. The food is always good. You can't go wrong here. My favorite is the Shepherds Pie

One of my favorite spots in Astoria great for food or Irish neighborhood bar pub
Classic Irish Pub!
They advertise the falun gong cultist shen yun with a poster in front. Bad service bad food.
Wonderful neighborhood Irish pub that has excellent food, and pours a mighty fine pint of Guinness. Friendly service, and one of the best pub burgers around. One of my go to spots in Astoria.

Amazing local place with great food!
Highly recommend.
Rustic and reminiscent of the 90s, this bar doesn't miss. If you want to try Irish dishes, this place definitely is for you. The portion sizes are great and the hot toddy during the cold held its own.
Great atmosphere.
Great staff.
I’ve had not been here for one year and it only gets better with time. I love the food service ambiance and music. I visited with family and friends Sat 1/4 and Sun 1/5. Lydia our server was excellent!!! And Mike the owner is a beautiful human being. Thank you for
Making our visit a happy and enjoyable one. Until next time 👍
