The pescado a lo macho dish was very good but their chicken menu is untasted, not good and it’s expensive so the chef of this restaurant should make some changes. The girl at the bar is friendly.
Omg the food it was soooo good ?
Food is truly exceptional, personally love the “lomo saltado” taste of meat is just different, it slaps if you know what I mean, other than that have a few drinks they have unique tastes and pretty fast buzzes minus the headache.
Not happy food is bad. I'm not going there anymore
This place was very nice , the patio can be better . The drinks were not strong and could be stronger . They add 20% gradualty automatically , plus tax . Overall it was an okay place to give a try but not worth total what i spent .
Wow, what a GEM! We were looking for a place to eat last Sunday and this place gave me an impression the food might be authentic so we decided to try and ask the lovely waitress for recommendations. The fish fritter was crispy light and juicy, the ceviche was fresh and brought me back when I was in Peru. the corn was absolutely authentic from Latin America style. And red sangria for $8, serious delicious for the price !!! And make sure you also get the Pisciotti Sour, the best I have outside of Peru. We will definitely go back again…P.s. We read up the review as it was not good but most of them are all because of long delivery time. So we will suggest you to go there in person!

First things first, hands down absolutely outstanding food and service. It is under new management from what I've been told. We tried a lot of different dishes and everything was delicious, fresh and made with love. Food is a language that breaks all barriers and this places left me seriously impressed. Wish I still lived in Astoria so I could come more often. Would recommend to anyone. This place deserves a Michelin star. Superb
Great experience. My family and I stopped by for a late afternoon snack and winded up having an early dinner. Stellar reviews for drinks, food and service. Definitely recommend them to all and will revisit them at their new location.

The Food was Amazing Complements to the Chef.Kiara the bartender was exceptional
Had a delivery made to my house only got the meat for 2 orders Lomo Saltado and ceviche without rice I asked for extra hot sauce had them charge me 1 dollar for 2 sauces (x3) I was missing the rice for both orders and got charged full price. Called back and the excuse was the rice burnt and they would discount the rice for next time I ordered. Why would I call back if my experience the first time around sucked. Stay away I spoke to employee and owner both had different scenarios of the situation
El Ancla means Anchor, and this Beautiful Peruvian restaurant is really holding it down in Astoria, Queens. After a complete overhaul of the space and menu led by manager and industry expert, Ronnie, who took on the project after leaving the famed Bond45 restaurant, a New York institution in Times Square. Sadly, like others, Bond45 was unable to withstand the Covid19 pandemic. But luckily for El Ancla (and Astoria), there is now a beautifully renovated space complete with artistic and vibrant murals, interesting fixtures, top notch cocktails, and the food....omg, the food! There are welcoming portions and taste sensations of traditional Peruvian dishes and seafood. Head chef, Lucia, is also a master at creating interesting (and delicious) sauces for dipping or slathering. Restaurant manager, Ronnie, brings his many years of experience to every detail, and it really shows. The food and drink recommendations are delightful and customer service is excellent and will leave you coming back for more.
Excellent food , great service , super clean place . Definitely coming back ?
