One of my favorite place would love to recommend to my friends. I love seafood, you can taste it if they’re fresh!! In Hamido everything is fresh and you pick your own seafood and way to cook. Love their spices! It took a lil bit longer to get them done, because they cook it freshly. So, be patient!!I love their lemon spice oven baked red snapper, wild jumbo shrimps, seafood pasta, and also their mint lemonade! Totally recommend them!

Just checked out Hamido Restaurant in Astoria, Queens, and man, was I blown away! The vibe? Cozy and welcoming. The service? Quick and friendly, making you feel right at home. But what really matters - the food. Went there with my french friend, they are known to be picky about the food - even he loved it a lot. Every bite was a perfect blend of spices and freshness, making it hard to pick a favorite dish. I liked branzino, babaganush was great. Calamari wouldn't be my first choice, but they were ok, even french fries were good. Also, check out the mint lemonade, it's amazing. Good place, recommend.

Went for dinner and the place was packed. The fish is made to order. We waited 30 minutes for our food. Fried Calamari and butterfly bronzini were excellent, preferred it over the stuffed singari. The pricing is okay not expensive but not cheap at the same time.

Everything about those place is great except for the long wait out in the street in the cold for about an hour. Then once you get inside, there is another 15 min wait to order the food before your finally seated. Then you wait another 15 to get your appetizers then another 15 mins to get your food. Then your eating with a bunch of people staring at your food as they walk in and out past you. The food is great/excellent, but definitely expensive. I just wonder whether the entire experience is worth the hefty bill. But if you go in with the correct expectations, you'll have a good time.

After hearing so many glowing reviews about this place, I was really looking forward to trying. And it met all of my hopes! When I arrived, just after they opened at noon, I was welcomed in a friendly manner, and the server explained the system of the set option from the menu or the catch of the day. I went with the set, which includes a choice of a seafood dish with two sides, all for under $20, served with fresh, warm pita bread. Everything was delicious and my friend accompanying me thought the same! The seafood was succulent and tasty and the sides were top-notch. Also, the atmosphere is bright and colorful and lively, just a great place to be and all the rave reviews are totally deserved. I can’t wait to go back and explore the menu further!
