The worst experience of my life. I am used to eat spicy but this was dangerously bad. Both me and my friend started crying and almost threw up. When we told the waiter about it, he offered to put more broth on it, he didn’t offered another or a refund only more broth. Crazy. I never had an experience like this. A scam. Disgusting.

I would like to preface by saying it's sad that I have to even write this review. I stopped by yesterday for lunch, added my name for the seating waitlist, and waited patiently with my husband while another nice family waited. 10-15 mins later, there were more people coming inside the restaurant either in pairs or solo. They signed the waitlist chart and waited to be called. My table was called, I sat down, and noticed some of the patrons were then called to a table. Server approaches us, takes our order for one app, two drinks, and one spicy miso ramen. This wasn't a complicated or massive order. Eventually, I started noticing that the people that were called to a table after us or some that walked in 5-10 mins after were already served their food. I mean, we're talking a guy literally walks in, gets seated and served a bowl of ramen after waiting 20 mins later which was bizarre. It was interesting to see how non-PoC were given a higher priority and how quick they were served where myself and husband were deliberately overlooked. The first family that I was seated next during the waitlist was in and out. That was the family I sat next to in the beginning and since there was four of them, they obviously had a larger. Again, they were in and out with zero wait time. As this family made their way out the door, I noticed that we were still waiting and did not get our food while other people were already eating. As a PoC, I've dealt with similar treatment to where I can recognize a pattern when it does happen. I was very respectful in your establishment. Very patient. The front house workers also blamed their cooks which doesn't make sense since their not serving customers to know who is being seated and where each order goes. That is the job of the front house. Again, very sad I have to write this review especially when you're also people of color.

broth was the taste and consistency of can soup, noodles like angle hair pasta. This is a very Americanized version of bad ramen, avoid! Was charged $22 for something i barely touched.
A charming spot that I was led into by smell alone- and to be allured by aroma on Ditmars is a complement of itself. The service was sweet and helpful. We started with the popcorn chicken and Takoyaki. The 🐙 was truly unique and cooked great. The popcorn chicken was lacking in flavor but the citrus combination created a nice taste. Now onto the main event!! The Hinomaru ramen just called to me. I was delighted by the sweet mixing of poached egg and bone broth- super unique and delicious!! Pork cooked to perfection. Spice level was perfect. Left nothing but clean bowls and full stomachs. Wish there was a coat rack so I didn’t have to put mine on the floor. Great overall. Looking forward to the next time!
Wheelchair accessibility: All one level.

EDIT: I appreciate the response! I have amended my review from 1 star to 4 given that you said you've changed the issue and sounds like it was a mistake. All forgiven. I look forward to my next time there -- makes me miss Japan.
The food was good, so it pains me to write this review, but the suggested tips are deceitfully wrong. The claimed 18% one is actually 20%, the 20% is 22%, etc. Extremely dishonest and possibly illegal

Tonkotsu Ramen was disappointing. Broth tasted off, and noodles didn't taste fresh. Way too expensive for the quality.

High salt and low flavor. I can’t remember the last time I consume this much salt.

The chicken broth was a bit flavorless, wish the pork and chicken broth were equally flavorful. Took forever for the orders to arrive. All the spices is in the broth. Enjoyed it but the ramen itself was bland.
