It was finally warm enough for us to trek to Joe's. It's really not that far, but it's winter and my willingness-to-be-in-the-cold radius has kept me in from trying this place out even though I've followed their instagram since before they opened in Jan 2017.
So Joes garage was unexpected. I got lured out from Bayside, which can be a tall order with no trains on the north side of queens, but I said yes anyways because why not try some place new? The streets have plenty of parking, which is fantastic and unexpected, the bar is large and doesn't feel crowded even when there's a lot of people inside. I live in the area and had no idea the place was so nice. Good mix of people and the live music was excellent. The band was called Jamboni. It's a great place for older crowd too.
