Simba, the bartender, was VERY rude, kept skipping everyone’s song, played nepotism, the most unprofessional bartender & customer service I ever had the disservice of meeting. Highly recommend everyone besides Simba. Matt & Ramsey are TOP TIER. If Simba is ever at the bar again, I’ll make sure to walk out.

There is not a better place to get loose and scream your lungs out with a bunch of kind loving and hilarious people who might be drunken belters or might be broadway belters between gigs.

Karaoke Shout is the best Karaoke bar I have ever been to! I've been coming to this Karaoke spot for over 4 years and it has been the best spot to go to and let all your emotions out while you sing!! Stupendous service every single time! Happy hour drinks are amazing! + all the variety of songs they have avaliable for you to choose from! Also you can bring your own food or you can just stop by Mamas Empanadas across the street!!! No Karaoke bar could ever top Karaoke Shout!!!

I have been going to shout for EVER. No place like it. Great sound system. And the staff is the best. Ramsey is one of a kind. And Marina is the sexiest bartender ever. With a voice to match. The prices are unbeatable. You just instantly feel like family when you go there. Great singers. But if you aren’t the best singer. So what. No judgment. Always a good time. Say hi to Matt and Adae. All eye candy too. If you are in queens it’s a must go. Marina is always there on wed. If you don’t sing. You can just look at her. It’s a nice view!!

Literally the best karoake spot that i’ve been to! Wait times for private rooms are fairly reasonable, even on weekends when they’re super busy! And even if they are, chillin in the main room is such a vibe because the workers are so cool and all the patrons keep it a judgement-free zone -sincerely a girl who should stay off the mic but absolutely refuses to once those amazing drinks touch my soul 😉 15/10 def come here and bring cool vibes

The staff is so amazing super attentive and friendly. The sound system is superior! Highly recommend this first class karaoke spot. You get to choose to sing at the bar with the wonderful staff attending you or go to one of their cool rooms.

Karaoke Shout is the best karaoke bar in the city, hands down!

So many other places are soulless, meant purely to get you into a private room where they can up-charge you for drinks. Karaoke Shout is the only place where you want to sing with strangers in the main room, and that’s because the staff makes this place fun. It gets crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, but that’s can be a good thing too.

I can’t tell you how many great nights I’ve had thanks to Karaoke Shout. It truly embodies the best parts of the neighborhood!

I live in the city now and still go out of my way to come to Astoria just to sing here. That should tell you everything. Koreatown is nothing in comparison.

Shout doesn’t feel like a karaoke bar. It feels like a college dorm party every night haha. The bartenders are absurdly nice, remember people, joke around, and somehow keep the vibe relaxed even when the place is packed. At some point in the night I realized I was cheering for complete strangers like I knew them, which never happens anywhere else.

One night I came in planning to sing one song and leave. I stayed way too long, sang more than I meant to, and ended up talking music with people I’d never met before. No pressure, no judgment, no weird energy — just genuinely good vibes.

It can get busy on weekends, but that’s because it’s actually fun. Come early if you want more mic time, or come whenever and enjoy the chaos. Either way, it’s worth the trip. They got private rooms too if that's your thing and you can bring in food if you want.

If you want karaoke that feels real, welcoming, and very un-Manhattan in the best way, this is the absolutely the spot.

This is what REAL NYC Karaoke feels like.

Visiting NYC for the holidays and staying in Long Island City with a friend. Since Thanksgiving, my friends and I have ended up at Karaoke Shout three separate times — and we keep going back for a reason. We were also here for Halloween and the costume contest was a blast.

We tried a few other karaoke spots in LIC and Astoria none of them came close. Shout has the best sound quality by far, a massive song selection, and most importantly the friendliest, most fun crowd. You can tell there are a handful of regulars here (see them there often), and they’re the kind of people who cheer you on even if you’re terrible at singing. That alone makes the place feel welcoming instead of intimidating. A very friendly New York City crowd. You'll see people of all walks of life there but more than anything you'll see some REAL New Yorkers. Folks who prefer to stay out of the city and party like a local. The main area itself is wide enough to be a big living room and you sing in the middle of the bar so everyone can see your performance from no matter where they are.

The bartenders are chill, genuinely friendly, and actually seem happy to be there. Stick around long enough and they’ll often throw you a free shot or drink--something you rarely see at bars anymore.

On our second visit, we did a private room, which was a totally different but equally fun experience. Prices are way better than Manhattan. We started in a smaller room for an hour, realized it was a bit tight for our group, and when a bigger room opened up, the bartender offered to move us with no hassle. We ended up extending our time, got a round of free shots after a couple hours, and when we finished the room we stayed out front to sing a few more songs with the main crowd. It felt effortless and fun the entire time.

They don't serve food but there's a really good empanada spot across the street and you can bring food inside. A woman in the main area was nice enough to buy pizza for the whole bar (something she apparently does all the time according to the bartenders).

My only complaint? Well... it does get pretty packed particularly on Fri/Saturday between 9p-1a I'd say but that's any bar. Still super fun but if you wanna get your song in, I'd suggest coming as early as 7p/8p on those nights. Weekdays don't get as crowded unless it's after a Knicks/Mets game. Equally fun when it's not crowded either because you'll be able to have more conversations with folks. Trust me--the people here are super friendly and will talk to you and not in a creepy way. Just a bunch of music lovers.

Bottom line: if you’re looking for a genuinely great karaoke night in NYC— not just a place to sing, but a place to have a good time and meet some friendly people every time — Karaoke Shout is hard to beat. It almost feels like family.

And if you go, try to find Gary. Asian dude with a rocker vibe. He’s basically a local legend. Opera, heavy metal… unreal.

I love going to Shout. I drive all the way from Jamaica, Queens at least once a week to go. It can get crowded, depending on the time of week, but thats to be expected for any bar. The staff are super cool and the song selection and sound system in the main room is top notch! Super bonus mega points for letting us bring our own food, Astoria is chock full of great places to eat!
