Authentic Japanese eatery run by Japanese chef, Mr. Kondo. Offers many Japanese small dishes along with Sushi and Sashimi. If you near in Astoria and crave for Japanese, I recommend Kondo.
All Good Things with Kondo
Paid a visit with my Japanese friend and his baby. Honestly, I had passed by Kondo many times, but it always seemed to be closed. So here I am.
We ordered two lunch sets, and everything was great. However, I felt the Sashimi & Udon set was more valuable and tastier than the Beef set. (Yes, I ordered the Beef set, and you know, the neighbor’s yard is always greener, lol.)

Server was weird, asked about reservation first, then as we ordered pointed to the note on the menu and said each person has to order $20 worth item. We had already seen that on the menu and hadn't even finished ordering. That was kind of rude.
The receipt was ineligible, it's not printed as most restaurants do - only the server can understand her scribbles.
