Second time here at Maizal Restaurant Astoria. Great friendly service, good food. Got the cold noodle with soup and its very decent, even better than the ones from Tofu Love up the street. The steamed meat dumplings is amazing! I also liked that the restaurant serves filtered water with a carafe. Most restaurants give tap water. I like that Maizal Restaurant Astoria cares enough to serve customers decent water. Overall good experience here. Will definitely return again!

Food was okay. It lacked the authentic Latin flavors you'd usually get at a spot on Roosevelt. However, portions were big enough to eclipse the lack in flavor. Nevertheless, I probably wouldn't go back given the array of options.

Great atmosphere and restaurant for groups! It is a little expensive in my opinion but the food is really good and so is the venue! I would definitely recommend this to people who like trendy but not extremely flashy vibes. Also to groups!

Made reservations 5 days ago and when we walk in they have us wait over 35 min kept telling us there's no tables but other ppl where coming and sitting I tried to order a drink with the bartender n he never came to me such a horrible they ruined my valentines ! . . How can I have spoken bad to someone who never even came up to me? Also the point of reservations is to have a table ready.

Great place. Love the cozy little bar area. This is great for dates and large groups alike. The food is very good- i recommend the passion fruit margarita (its made with real passion fruit, not sugary juice) and the guacamole. The skirt steak is delicious and the vegetarian options are nice too. The only negative I would say is the wait staff is perhaps too attentive. When you are on a date and trying to conversate, to be regularly interrupted by questions is a bit irritating. Truly its better than being ignored though.

Woah!!!! I'm not one for Mexican but was here for a friend's birthday and my mind was blown and totally changed my mind about Mexican good. Visiting here from a small town was totally worth it. The drinks were fantastic here. The decors super nice. The food were to amazing and very well presented. The atmosphere was nice for any occasions. The staffs were all polite. I highly recommend checking this place out.
