Unusually crowded for a Thursday night, service was a little slow and 3 of the 5 dishes ranged from room temperature to warm when they should have been hot. Still tasty though. Dec 2025 we've been going to Max's since it opened and of course there's been up and downs. But the food's always been very good and that hasn't changed much. Wonderful little spot in the area. I have only visited once but the food was great and the beer selection is nice. The atmosphere is sporty and a bit loud. The service was spotty, but I arrived during a shift change right before dinner and it took us a few minutes to receive the menu. I also think this is the best priced German place compared with other Queens longstays like Zum Stammich and Manor Octoberfest.
