Not much variety of flavors when we were there. Just ok pizza. Dough was on the thin side, personally. Service was just ok as well. I think this spot has its regulars who come by due to convenience and they keep it at that.

I went to “Mela Pizza” last Friday night and ate their pasta bolognese. The sauce had that homemade touch and a delicious texture. The pasta was just right, which made the dish good.

The atmosphere of the place is pleasant. In addition, the lady who served us was super friendly and attentive, something that is always appreciated.

I was definitely looking forward to trying more of the menu. It is a place to which I will definitely return.

Good slices. Convenient location. Some seating at windows. I like the garlic dispenser. Havent seen this one used before in other pizza shops.

Expensive for what!? With my friends I had the Empanadas, Pizza, and baked ziti. All of these to me were a miss. The empanadas were subpar, the baked ziti was mid and the pizza tasted like 99c pizza to be honest. Nice people though

Our go-to pizza spot for takeout. Just the right balance of great quality pizza at the right price. They are available online and offer everything that a pizza place should.

It’s a shame such s mediocre pizza place is located at such an amazing location. The pizza is unappetizing. The dough is dry and lacking flavor. And there was hardly any cheese or toppings. Overall an uninspired lifeless pizza place. It would appear they are only still in business due to their proximity to the train station.

Pizza is very hit and miss, one day it’s great, the next it tastes like a 99c pizza shop.
It’s too doughy and the crust isn’t thin/crispy enough. On the classic cheese they could run the cheese closer to the crust. They can do better with such a great location

I’m editing this review because I can safely say this pizza spot is finished.Dollar slice standard has reach Astoria. Cheesy doughy crap

Pizza is just ok. No spices available, not even red pepper or cheese. Sodas are warm. No ice available. But pizza is good. Definitely I'll be back for the pizza & bring my own cold soda this summer

Mela is a neighborhood mainstay. They are easily my go-to for slices, especially late at night. They can be a little tricky with hours or app ordering but their quality is worth it. I have never had negative experiences with customer service; in fact, I often have a slice or some garlic knots comped. This is some of the best pizza in Astoria.

The customer service is horrible and they are very rude. The pizza is not even that good I do not recommend. There are better pizza shops around.
