Coffee roasted on site. Vegan milk options available (oat, macadamia and I believe soy?) vegan gluten free treats available.
Love this spot! One of my favorite coffee places in Astoria.
Usually, grab a Cortado with an extra shot of espresso. Have yet to have received a burnt coffee from here yet!
It's worth the time to stop in and poke your head in!

The lids drip. I’ve been a few times and thought I was getting a defunct cup/lid. They have a loose fit and a constant drip. I won’t be back.
A modest proposal:
I really like the coffee at Mighty Oak and I like the interior as well. However, I wish that the young people who use it as a work from home office would be willing to share their table. Instead, the norm is to take the seat on the bench side against the wall, put your bag or jacket on the seat opposite, and then get lost in your laptop. So once again, when I arrived today with a friend, we ended up going elsewhere because we wanted to sit with our coffee and, this may shock most of the patrons, have a conversation with each other. The last time I met my friend here, while I was waiting for him to arrive, I was waiting to get a seat and it looked like all the tables were taken. However, I did notice a couple who was sitting opposite each other had moved one of the tables next to theirs, and had put their jackets and also some food they had ordered on the table next to them. When I politely asked if these seats were taken, the man said, “ yes, we have our stuff here.” I replied that I would like to use the table. He said why don’t you take one of the other seats and ask someone else to move their stuff? I said I was expecting a friend and we needed a table for two. He reluctantly moved his stuff.
My suggestion to management is that they put signs on the tables to ask people to share the space. There is no reason why two people immersed in their private world with their laptops can’t sit opposite each other (Heaven forbid they speak to each other!) It would allow for more people to have seats and also be good for business.
I remember being in Italy a decade ago, and there was a sign in a café that said, “No internet. Talk to each other!” I’m not saying, get rid of the Internet, but, people, please be more neighborly and share the space.

Payed 6$ to get a flat white.
All I got was milk in a big cup. After I asked for another espresso shot because the cup was literally MILK ONLY, they said I could get another shot for almost 3$.
That shop IS A JOKE.

Koke Honey Light Roast makes an amazing medium roast espresso with lots of crema. The coffee at the shop though was not good.

Nice cafe, lattes are ok - nothing special, but the space is nice. There is also a bathroom available.

I've tried here twice and haven't had a wow experience. It's kinda expensive in relation to the quality and amount of coffee you get. Both times, the baristas have been chatting between themselves while serving me. Overall, I wouldn't be rushing back.
