Had a lovely Bottomless brunch with a group of friends. The atmosphere is pleasant for anyone to enjoy catching up with friends or to watch sport games. Our server was always on observant of her tables ⭐️. Recommend getting the chicken and waffle.

A nice bar area, light and I'd say a very good selection of items in the menu including bottomless brunch.
Service however is subpar with not much of a smile from our server. More of a vibe thing.
Food wise it also lacked flavor (not basic seasoning) whilst the dough of the bread feeling stale maybe use focasia instead?).

Overall an opportunity for improvement but I can't visit back until they do.

I wouldn't readily disagree with any review praising this establishment, but I would say that the displeasure from the volume of the live band sours a date night where you'd like to enjoy the company of your dinner companion.
If you don't mind not talking, but merely seeing your date and some cool food, look no further.

Been here twice and both times there were issues with the reservation. The hostess is not apologetic, does not check reservation details, and instead has a rude "take it or leave it" attitude. Ordered steak & eggs, which was overcooked and chewy, with no salt. On the positive side the margarita was great. Waffles and pancakes looked good also.

11/28 - I had not placed an order for this restaurant in years since I am not a huge fan of the food here. It has always been pretty forgettable, pricey and bland. Decided to place an UE order for delivery on Thanksgiving since plans fell through and the original restaurant ran out of food. I figured I would give them a shot with their Thanksgiving plate. It was lackluster and stingily portioned when I tried it 2 years ago. (See photo) The price point then was $24. I had assumed that perhaps they had gotten better over time or they got a new chef and saw that the price had increased to $30 DOLLARS this year. The turkey and ham option to $35!
The plate consisted of salty processed turkey, NOT fresh hand carved, DRYYYYYY stuffing, 7 string beans (Yes, I counted), bitter cranberry sauce and what seemed like instant mashed potatoes.
SHAME ON YALL!
I ordered a Thanksgiving plate from another local eatery that I initially wanted to try and it was a few dollars cheaper and LEAPS AND BOUNDS better in terms of taste and portion size and they had real turkey!!! Still no need to return to Oliver's.

Review from 2022

I have tried delivery here a few times. Food is definitely nothing to write home about. I think you have to know what to order, but mostly there are dishes that are priced interestingly which I don't think are necessarily reflective of the complexity, quality or portion size of the dish. But it is NYC so the inflation in price better be going to the staff salaries/benefits.

Most recently ordered a Thanksgiving plate from them and it was pretty pathetic for the price. I think they were running out of food and gave me whatever was left all the while trying to stretch the portion for other orders since it was the afternoon. It was confusing to me since they did not offer the traditional menu and only offered the Thanksgiving dish so I'm not sure why they did not make enough to satisfy potential orders.
I also called to see if it would be possible to have the mashed potatoes instead of sweet potatoes as mashed potatoes only came with the ham which I don't eat. I called twice and spoke to a Russian/Ukrainian sounding woman who said she would mention it to the kitchen. Despite the small ask it wasn't adhered to. Maybe they ran out of mashed potatoes, idk, but it was disappointing.
I have had their salmon dishes which are typically accompanied by a bland side of a white rice variation (sometimes it has corn in it) and a vegetable. Currently it is 'avocado salsa', but it was asparagus for a while.
I liked their pesto chicken sandwich I believe.
The kitchen unfortunately cannot cook a steak to save their lives. I have tried it both as an evening entree and a brunch dish and both times just bad. I think it is a mix of the meat quality and poor cooking technique.
Mac and cheese also confused me. The cheese is in the name, but for whatever reason, it seemed like the cheese was just a garnish on the top and the macaroni wasn't particularly held together with any real cheese and seemed to be swimming in some sort of milky liquid. Pass on that as well.
Salads have been for the most part fresh and mostly enjoyable.

The food portions are too small for the price. Last night we ordered pesto chicken sandwich and they served half a club roll and cut it diagonally… that cost 18 bucks!! They put too many tomatoes and not enough chicken. I ordered the kale frenzy salad with chicken and the salad had too much ginger dressing it overtook the dish. I’m not even sure I got a Kale frenzy salad now that I think about it… I don’t remember seeing feta or avocado… maybe they also need to update their online menu. But whatever salad I received it was my least favorite. Restaurants really need to start serving more food with the price… not sure we’ll go back

Food is great although is very limited. First place that we find in NYC with two gf beers and they also have gf buns. The bun is fantastic.
Shortcomings would no doubt be the shoet menu and lack of choice

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bun and beers

We hosted a private event at Oliver’s today, and they exceeded all our expectations! The booking process was seamless, and managers Philip and Samantha were extremely helpful with helping to formulate a menu and bar package for our event. From start to finish, the staff was attentive, accommodating, and made sure everything went smoothly. The ambiance was perfect, the food and drinks were exceptional, and every detail was taken care of. As one of few restaurants that offer a takeover/buy out option we were able to enjoy the space to its entirety, with fall/halloween decor and great music our event went off without a hitch. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the experience. The bartenders and wait staff were excellent and handled our huge crowd seamlessly. Huge thanks to the team for making our event truly special. Highly recommend Oliver’s for any gathering—5 stars all the way!

I have to say, our server Liz, made our experience at Oliver's exceptional. She made sure our wine was exactly what we wanted and so incredibly attentive throughout the whole night. It was a nice meal, but having Liz as our server made it that much more special!
