My husband and I decided to do a late night 🌙 kid free walk around 10pm and weren't dressed up enough to go to a fancy restaurant or club to grab a bite. We saw this cute diner and decided to take a chance. We had a lovely time. We sat right there in that corner table that makes you feel like you're literally sitting on the sidewalk and are part of the scene. It was just what we needed: lively enough, music playing in the background, nice smells and environment, delicious...
A large selection of cakes, but not the best quality. What disappointed me the most was that I ordered tres leches cake and received something completely different. The waitress didn’t warn me. I also don’t understand why the cake was given that name in the first place. A fruit cake has nothing to do with tres leches.
What can I say about Omonia Cafe truly one of a kind. I’ve been coming here since the ’80s, through the ’90s, the 2000s, and still today, and every visit feels special.
The food is excellent, the coffee is always on point, and the desserts are on another level a real paradise for anyone with a sweet tooth. The atmosphere, the music, and the staff all make you feel at home.
