This was our first time dining here and were really excited based on all the positive reviews for this place.
I don’t quite understand how anyone in their right mind would give this place anything more than 1 star. The place was completely empty besides 2 staff members who weren't the most friendly. We ordered dumplings and spring rolls to start, both of which were very clearly frozen and just heated up quickly to serve. The 3 sushi rolls we ordered were practically inedible, one of them I had to spit out because I was chewing endlessly and it was just not dissolving. Their chicken katsu is probably the only decent thing on the menu and it was ok at best.
I would strongly STRONGLY advise that nobody waste their time or money on this place it was actually the most horrendous experience.

There are 3 things to note that may or may not affect your experience.
1. The waitress we had was phenomenal. She was super nice and went over our order in detail to make sure everything was correct. 5/5 really great service.
2. The food was not worth the price. I ordered a chicken teriyaki and the chicken was dry and the only flavor came from the teriyaki sauce. The salad that was served as a starter had a vinaigrette which was way too strong and ruined the salad. Onto the the good food, the Gyoza and spring rolls were amazing! The gyoza also came with a kind of salty/sour sauce which was pretty good. The spring rolls are served with a sweet and sour sauce. Overall a 2/5
3. The atmosphere was pretty dull with yellow lighting. There is currently a sign on the front window displaying a “B” rating. This is a bit of a concern and can easily be corrected if the place was cleaned up a bit. 2/5

This place is so close to us and for some reason we never thought to try it, such a mistake because the sushi was amazing! So fresh, completely delicious, and very different and creative roll combos. The simplest one we got, a salmon/avocado was delicious too and you could taste how fresh. It's kind of not noticeable from the outside, I think that's why we didn't ever go in. We got rolls to go and the guy helping us was very nice. So mad at myself for passing this place by constantly, it's definitely our new sushi go-to.

Just bought some of the worst made rolls I’ve ever had. They fell apart as I picked them up. The fish was just ok.

I feel like the chef could use alittle more time in making rolls. This is a lunch spot at best. You shouldn’t expect a 5 star cuisine. The seaweed was awkwardly chewy, like really chewy. I ordered 4 different rolls and they were slaughtered in spicy mayo so I couldn’t tell the difference. I didn’t finish.

Osaka is not a place I would recommend, nor would I return to.At the time of writing this, they have a B health grade on their front door. I wish I knew this prior to ordering my online pickup order. When I walked in, there were literally no customers. The sushi chef was working behind the sushi bar, and another staff member was stuffing chopsticks in napkins in a stool at the sushi bar. Neither member of staff looked up or acknowledged me. I had to say "Hello" for them to look up, startled. This, to be clear, has nothing to do with the 2 star review. I am simply pointing out the weird vibe inside. I can only assume they are a delivery business primarily and did not expect a human to walk in(?).My three roll sushi lunch meal was mediocre at best. I got the spicy scallop, spicy tuna and spicy tako. I am not new to the Americanized sushi scene and recognize that when you pay $15 for three sushi rolls, you are getting mystery fish meat scraped into spicy mayo drenched globs. Even for that style of cheap sushi, this was not good. As I ate my rolls, I noticed that the plastic to-go container was oily and shiny at the bottom, which needless to say is not a comforting thing to see. Why were my rolls so oily? I have not seen oily sushi rolls before in my countless times eating sushi. The spicy scallop roll in particular was somewhat off-tasting as well. The rice had a bizarre, almost gamey flavor. Just gross. The rolls were also mostly spicy mayo and panko. This, at least, was not surprising. Again, I recognize that you get what you pay for.All in all, this was the kind of meal and experience that left me feeling slightly upset that I chose it/ate it. The B health grade is the cherry on top. I hate giving a poor review to a local business, but I feel 2 stars is honestly generous.
