Parrot Coffee of Astoria. From what I know, there are 2 in Sunnyside and another one in Maspeth, Queens. Feels like a mama and papa store with lot of European (Specializing Balkan region, Mediterranean, Turkish products from cookies, coffee, pastas, meats! They have in-house pizzeria, too. Lot of Italian coffee brands that are famous like illy, Lavazza and local brands like Brooklyn Roasters, etc etc. On the last stop of N or Q line Ditmars Blvd. Highly recommended ? ??

Be careful guys ! I bought black olive less than half pounds so many times before !!!! Today morning, I tried to buy black olive and a blonde cashier told me “you have to buy at least 1lb or you can’t buy it”. But there was not any notice about it. I tought she tried to sell me more black olive !! Again Please be careful abou it !!!

This place is just fun to browse in ! Although the shop inside is small don't let that fool you. Aisles of goodies from all over the world. If you need items for baking , they carry many spices from other countries as well as basic baking staples. The deli counter has fresh different types of Feta cheese and cold cuts . If you are craving a good wholesome meal they also hot food to go. I peeped a nice looking stuffed red pepper and amazing potatoes. The frozen food sections has a variety of take out options - many you can reheat top of stove to cook. Looking for snacking options? They feature amazing bulk purchase nuts/snack mix prepackaged by the pound also. I grab a bag to keep in my work back pack for a quick crunchy craving . I buy the mini pitas which are located near the deli counter - inexpensive and perfect for lunch. Lastly the beer selection towards the front of the store is extensive. Beers from Germany, Poland , Serbia , Italy and USA .
