Edit: it seems others agreed since this place no longer exists. This is a sad review for me, as it's been a go-to lunch spot for a little bit now. This place used to be decent, even with blatant false advertising everywhere, painted on their walls and printed on all of their even newer menus they keep putting out.Today I picked up some food here for my partner and I. As I was eating mine, my partner asks me to taste hers , so I do. It was rancid, very obviously spoiled. I'm not sure what exactly was giving the taste, but I took both meals and explained this to them. They tried making me a new one, to which I said I just wanted refund for the order because I didn't want to chance being sick. The older lady sat there and argued with me, trying to tell me that we ate "most of it" and they would not give a refund when my partner had taken a couple bites and myself one from hers. Mine was maybe a 16th gone before she told me to stop eating. She brought in who I believe to be her son who also insulted me stating that "my story didn't add up". What story? The food tastes rancid, we want a refund. Plain and simple. After a while of them arguing with me, trying my best not to argue back while customers were in their restaurant, they finally gave me what I think was a refund (we'll see).Needless to say, we will not be eating here anymore, and I would suggest caution if you decide to do so, since it is raw fish.

I love Pokewave. Amazing healthy options here! There's a secret 'sneak easy' option in the back. I also love their lunch special option.

The food is delicious and the staff is very sweet. But there’s been multiple occasions where my order was wrong. I don’t notice until I get home and it’s already too late to fix it. Please please pay more attention to the paper with the toppings selected. The food isn’t cheap and it’s disappointing because this is easy to avoid.

My friend and I walked into an EMPTY restaurant and was refused a seat because we did not have a reservation. Very pretentious. I will never return.

I use to love this spot, I was there when they opened the original spot on Main Street and was one of their first customers here at their Astoria location back when they opened. I work not to far from this one so I was excited to see they had expanded to this area. I hadn't ordered linch from them in about 3 months but had the craving today. I'm not sure what happened here but I don't think I can justify their new portions at this price point. It's very sad to see this happen but is what it is.

PokeWave was the most disappointing Poke bowl experience I have ever had. To add context, I've eaten so many Poke bowls in the last few years in different states, and PokeWave was by far my least favorite and most disappointing ?I ordered two Pokebowls for delivery, one with brown rice and the other with white rice. Chose all Ahi for one and all salmon for the other. When the bowls got to me over an hour later. . . The bowls only had about 10 pieces of small cut fish each. . . And the other 90% was all rice. I had never, ever seen any Poke store be this stingy with the fish. I was in shock from the absurd amount of rice to fish ratio. To the point where I wondered if the worker on that day made a mistake? ?? Still wondering what happened.P.S. I also got an additional $3 charge for ordering extra sauce- which PokeWave didn't note on UberEats would cost anything extra. I don't appreciate the sudden charge without getting notified in advance.Overall not a place I can recommend to friends or family.

We live around the corner from PokéWave, so we get take out from them fairly often. The people there are so friendly and the food has always been fresh and delicious.

I've been here 3 times in the past year. Got the hungry bowl or bowl/onigiri/drink combo. I do think they tend to be too light on the protein toppings like other reviews say, which is the main reason for the 3 stars, but I do enjoy the food itself. The shrimp in particular is cooked well - not overcooked. The onigiris tend to be too rice heavy even for an onigiri. FYI - there's a discount if you order through their mobile app. 15% for first order, and 5% for future orders.

Got their poke bowls tonight. A LOT of rice with tiny sashimi pieces. They put hardly any sauce although we asked for 2 sauces. What’s more? I was unhappy with the food and called to see if they forgot to put the stuff that we asked for. The lady who made the poke bowls said “oh we ran out those items”. You are telling me this now? Never going back there again.

Great ingredients, and great specials! The onigiri are my favorite (3 for $8.50 between 5pm-8pm plus a drink). Friendly staff and everything is always quick and clean!

Terrible. The worst poke place I've ever been to. They just put a lot of rice and small amount of toppings. Never would go back.

Delicious fresh poke bowls! Great prices, quick service, friendly workers! Usually do the make your own option but they also have suggested bowls if you are new to poke. My go to is tuna with spicy Mayo, ponzu sauce, all the veggies, and seaweed salad.
