A few months ago my partner and I had a serious conversation that ended up lasting five hours. We arrived at about 5:30 and as we realized while leaving that it was half past their closing time! They really did notice and gave us the space without feeling the need to rush us at all. Thank you so much for being patient with us :)

Queen Room Café is such a gem on Ditmars. I know those people since i used to have a furniture store next door back 2011, the store is so unique ,the atmosphere is cozy, the owners are so welcoming ,the staff is genuinely welcoming, and everything comes out fresh and full of flavor. You can feel the care they put into their food and service. It’s the kind of place you walk into once and immediately want to come back. Highly recommended for anyone in the neighborhood looking for great coffee, great bites, and great people.

I went today with my family and baby cousin. They were very accommodating when we called ahead to add some people to the reservation. Biscuits are a must get!!! Pancakes amazing and the Turkish eggs were uniquely creamy, spicy and delicious. The prices are also much more fair than many brunch places. Will definitely be back.

QR has a great burger and chicken sandwich and that’s the reason why I’m here. These two menu items are a MUST. QR also very well known for their brunch menu.

Google lists your closing time as midnight. I walked in at 11:19pm on a Saturday night of a holiday weekend with a friend visiting from out of town. The bar was not empty, there were guests seated at a table and someone already at the bar.
Before we could even sit down, the bartender told us she had already done last call. I let her know we were happy to order quickly and mentioned the posted closing time, but she reiterated last call without offering any explanation or flexibility. The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming.
I’ve spoken highly of your martinis for years and intentionally brought a friend here because of that. Instead, this experience was embarrassing and disappointing. If service ends earlier than posted, the hours should be updated. If not, guests should be treated with basic hospitality, especially when others are still being served.
This experience genuinely changed how I view a place I used to recommend.

The QR burger and hand cut fries lived up to the hype! It was so delicious, and the we will definitely come back to order it again! We also each ordered the French Onion soup for our appetizer, but it wasn’t good. It needed more cheese and onions. The onions it did have were small and overly mushy. The Cacio e Pepe tortellini dinner was very good and cheesy! It was a comforting dish. For dessert we all loved the homemade chocolate chip in a skillet! The other dessert we had was the warm chocolate cake which wasn’t homemade and not worth ordering. I recommend Queen’s Room in Astoria and try their QR Burger and hand cut fries!

Food came out cold, and was a bit overpriced for the quality of dishes. Midway through our meal a larger party came in and they moved the tables next to us to make one large table leaving a big empty space next to my table. It’s understandable to accommodate a larger party, but the big empty space then felt off, and ruined the atmosphere.

We went on NYE for an early dinner and it was decorated cute with some props we could take home. Our waitress wasn’t very friendly and my steak frites with chimichurri was pretty average at best. If I went back I might just sit at the bar for a drink.
I couldn’t make it to a dinner with my family and pre ordered drinks for them and the staff was very accommodating , helpful and just overall pleasant. My family also said that they did a great job of serving , the food was wonderful and the atmosphere was great. !
