Jess is the best!
Had such a great experience at this bar! The atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming — perfect for catching the game and hanging out with friends. The food and drinks were solid, but what really made the visit stand out was the service.
Jorge, our server, was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly attentive, kind, and professional — which honestly feels rare these days. He always made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving customers a great experience, and that made all the difference.
If you’re looking for a fun spot to watch the game and want to be treated like a VIP, this place — and Jorge — won’t disappoint!
Kris is the best!
Your hostess needs to learn some manners. We came into a busy bar, nothing open so sat at a high top for 6 where the people at the other end were sitting opposite each other so we sat at the other end opposite each other. She came and said ‘next time don’t sit at a table where other people are sitting. 4 open seats. A full empty seat between us. This is a bar, not a fine dining restaurant and nobody was eating. She was rude. The wait staff themselves were very friendly.
Their buffalo wings are moutherwatering, the truffle tater tots are incredible, and their wagyu sliders are to die for! Such amazing food, drinks, and overall atmosphere! Perfect place to catch a game or brunch!
Thanksgiving 3 meal course was fantastic. The staff was very polite. I recommend this place as I will be going back

The management and staff are on point and the food is always great.
I gotta admit I was skeptical when this place came to the neighborhood, but every time my wife and I eat here, we’re always pleasantly surprised. It has a sports bar feel, which is the only reason I gave the ‘atmosphere’ 4 stars. A little noisy for us old folks.

This is a great spot to watch the game. I sat here with my laptop, and got a Monday evening, special - burger and beer for $17, one guy walked in off the street and asked me the score of the Mets game, it was a doubleheader. I love the environment. Also I had a pretzel and other beer. The waitress was super friendly, And it is a great place to come in and relax. They have bar and grill food, plenty of beers. I am coming back for sure.

Restaurantji Recommends
I'm a huge fan of this place. Food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. It's great for watching sports on one of the many TVs, or grabbing drinks, or dinner, or brunch. But the best part of Rivercrest is hands-down the owners and managers. They really go out of their way to make you feel good and have the best time possible. Can't recommend this place enough!

This is my go-to place for brunch since I moved to this part of Astoria. Great food and the $25 unlimited drinks for 2 hours is a steal (delicious bloody Mary’s, multiple mimosa flavor options, and a great beer selection). Chris (bartender) and Rachel (server) are great!
