I honestly don't know how this place is still in business. Got takeout, two entrees and an appetizer ran $70, and the food was bad! Not so-so, but downright bad. The maduros were the worst I've ever had in my life -- dry, starchy, like chewing on sand. The cassava was the same. Pernil entree tasted like they had dumped an entire canister of salt in the pot... I was still thirsty the next morning after chugging water all night. At least the pork was tender.Had tried Sabor when it first opened years ago and loved it. Went back more recently and it was so-so, and it's gone even further downhill since then. My advice: stay away.

This hidden gem is SPECTACULAR!! you must come here. Food was delicious. First time I eat at a restaurant and take home no leftovers!!! Literally swept my plate clean. I went during brunch hours and got a plate of food with mimosa, sangria or Bellini for $23 the deserts are exquisite. We got flan de coco and tres leche and it was so creamy and tast!!!

Great little gem in Astoria. The food was delicious. I had the ceviche with plantain chips ?. The surf and turf was great! Their sliders, their apps with tostones, maduro and yucca frita so good! Their mussels were decent! It was honestly hard to decide on a dish because everything sounded so delicious. Luckily I was in a group so I had a bit of everything. Great spots for a regular hang with friends or as a date. Even great for celebrations. Definitely recommend coming here if you like Hispanic food. Their cocktails were decent. I loved their variety of music. I honestly didn’t want to leave because of the great music they were playing.

Good drinks, Tasty food and the decorations inside feels like you feel like you're in a foreign place. The service was great also. Thanks!

Love this place ! Celebrated my bday there a few years ago, they will sing for you. The food is fresh and well cooked. The drinks are amazing. They have a live paino man (who can get too loud at times) but still is nice to listen to, he sings some classic spanish songs. The decor is dope, the menus are in cuban boxs. My fav was the 3leches dessert it had flakes of cocounts and I loved it.

Love this place. Tried the ceviche this time and it was amazing. Chicken empanadas super flavorful and crunchy outside with moist chicken inside. My fiancée had the pork and said it had amazing flavor. He was very happy. I had the mahi mahi. It was cooked perfectly and the sweet sauce paired nicely with the coconut rice. I just wish it had a fruit salsa or something to brighten the dish and give some color. We are always happy with our dinners here and will be back.

Service and food was fantastic! Authentic Cuban food! Small and intimate restaurant space with great ambiance. Will definitely come back! Ropa vieja was delicious and the coconut mojito.

Went with a few friends to Sabor De Cuba for their bottomless brunch option and was pleasantly surprised! The brunch entrees come with one complimentary drink at a flat $22.95 and the bottomless drink add on is $15.05. The timer starts once the first drink comes and runs for ~1.5hrs, but it's plenty of time as the drinks are strong and the servers highly attentive to whenever your cup might be running low. I love that you get a choice of drink between mimosa, bellini, and passionfruit sangria. The passionfruit sangria is definitely the worth it winner as it practically comes in a goblet! My friends got the ropa vieja and the steak and eggs. Both had heaping portions of meat and was generously sized. I ordered the yuca/chorizo hash with poached eggs. The potatoes on the side were crispy and well-seasoned, but the hash itself consisted of diced yuca and was not only pretty mushy but also rather bland. The side of hot sauce helped a bit but I would try another entree if I go next time.

Just had one of the worst experiences ever in a restaurant. My fiancé and I love Cuban food and decided to try this spot. We came all the way from Bushwick and regret it. We ordered the cubanito sliders and yuca frita as appetizers. The pernil needed seasoning and the yuca was super dry. He ordered the vaca frita which had no flavor. It just tasted like oil which made sense because the plate was covered in oil and he struggled to eat a couple of bites before he just quit. I ordered the ropa vieja which is amazing everywhere else. It was inedible. I tried adding salt and pepper at the table but it couldn’t be saved. The rice we both got also was gross and we had to season it at the table as well. The maduros we ordered were not maduros. To top everything off, when I told the waitress that my plate was inedible and she took back full plates of food, all she did was say sorry. Sorry doesn’t change the fact that we just spent $100 on food we couldn’t eat. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Now we have to go and find somewhere else to eat as we are both hungry. I wouldn’t bring my dog here to eat.

Don't waist your money & time. Waiters were not welcoming, food was ether too blan or too salty. When food was served the didn't even say enjoy, didn't return to our table to ask how was the this food or if everything is okay. The place was clean with some really good cuban music with great wall decorations that set the atmosphere. We finished eating they did even offer coffee or dessert. Terrible dinning experience. ???

Man, you need to fix your croquetas! I went a couple of weeks ago and they were just old, burned and extremely salty. That’s like the most basic Cuban dish that you can’t mess up. When I say they were bad, I mean even the Goya from the supermarket are better quality, that’s how bad yours were!

Loved this place! We were in NYC for a recent trip to the Met. On our way back home, we decided to stop by Sabor de Cuba. The food was awesome!

Cute place, good food. Waitress Anna, was very friendly. Brilliant idea to have menu in a Cuban cigar box. Only issue was several items on the menu were not available.

Our first time here and we will definitely be back. The #1 best empanadas I ever had and the salsa verde. Perfection.
